Great podcast. Thank you, Dr. Adams. I just want to comment that eating disorders and "food addiction" are handled much differently than sex addiction or other addictions. The leading research and most effective treatments for eating disorders actually do teach people to develop a healthy relationship with all foods through intuitive eating (much like compassionate-focused exposure therapy). Restricting food intake and/or avoiding certain foods does not work over the long term and/or greatly damages people's relationship with food. I know this not only from getting my Master's degree focusing on this research, but also from personal experience, as I have recovered from an eating disorder.
