im generally excited for tower fall (the episode after slough creek) because your current pups will grow to juveniles so they can join in on hunts and you'll be able to have a second litter. i think my wolf fern will be happy to hear that because he lost 2 pups in his first litter and im pretty sure he'll be wanting to have a fully surviving litter

Hi Seri! I’m early for once (yay)! When Bluebell died, I posted how she died on the episode, but I was late so u didn’t see it :/ *me copy pasting story* Why Bluebell died (parents view): Meadow heard a growl from the bushes right outside of the den. She wasn’t sure what it was yet, but she immediately sent her pups into the den. Once she found out that it was the same Crevice Lake wolves that she and Genesis chased of not too long ago, she started fiercely attacking the female. While Genesis was attacking the other wolf, he lost grip and the wolf grabbed Bluebell and shook her to death. All they saw after that was Marigold mourning over her sister’s body. Why Bluebell died (pups view): The pups were playing right outside the entrance to the den, until there mother sent them inside with a frightened bark. While the rest of the pups went inside when there mother told them, Marigold dragged her paws slowly toward the den, upset she couldn’t keep playing. All of the sudden, a muscular, dark, unknown male started charging toward her at full speed with her father close behind. Before she could even start to wonder what to do, Bluebell jumped in front of her sister and took her place as the sacrifice to the Crevice Lake pack. Stunned, Marigold rushed over to her sister trying to save her, but it was too late. One more thing: HOW IS THERE ALREADY A DISLIKE THIS VIDEO WAS JUST POSTED!! some people like spreading hate I guess

Hey seri! Here's a few tips for hunting calves! The music changes usually to a different music which alerts us that theres a solo mother near with her calf like at 6:03 so yes you did miss a calf there oof They are usually hidden in tall grasses which look quite different from our normal bushes They stay in the range of 50 meters near their mothers If you ever happen to stumble upon one in the dense grass, the mother comes running towards you so that's another clue showing you've found a calf Moose calves are harder to hunt but provide lots of food to the pups And finally, when your pups reach the summer hunting grounds, the calves would be a little more bigger and start running but still are easy to hunt. Usually, when the pups are at 13-14 pounds, the calves stay hidden in the grass. Extra tip: the eagles stop hunting the pups when they reach the summer hunting grounds and grow up to 20 pounds there Hope this helped!

Parsley and Calypso are my favorite pups. I think either or them should be the heir. Parsley had a personality that is very similar to mine, and I think Calypso would just be the quiet thoughtful one. I love all the pups so much and if Calypso and Parsley are not chosen as the heir, I hope Achilles is.

Some advice: When hunting newborns, you'll see an elk or a deer that refuses to flee and will attack you upon approach. Search around- There's distinctive patches of bright green grass. You may have to search for a while, as it can spawn a bit away from the mom. But when you've found it, the red attack icon will pop up, and the mother will rush over. Simply attack once, the newborn will go down in one hit. Then, you can either eat it there or carry the thing back to your pups.

Seri, when the music suddenly changes to that very upbeat kind of music, that is when you are in calf/fawn territory. Look for the mother when you hear it, then start looking around in the tall grasses. The calf/fawn will usually be in one further away, but i believe within 50-100 meters of the mothers. Usually as long as you hear the music, you're in the right place, but sometimes they can be slightly further outside the zone.

Just fyi, if you can get the moose calves on the run and separate them from their mothers theyre pretty easy to kill and make a filling meal for pups. A sad but filling meal lol.

Okay Imma do a roleplay of my wolf Motaki I left the den and my pups under my mate's care. I trusted him to keep an eye on my pups while I marked territory. Then a sense came to me, A sense that I needed to head back to the den. Just as I started heading back, I heard Smoke howled to me, "Wolves!" I bolted back as faster I could. I was far away, and I knew most wolves raided dens in couples. Smoke couldn't protect the pups alone. But when I reached the hill that my den was on, I heard Smoke growl, "Yeah, scumbags, leave!" I also heard the whimper of pups. I ran over the hill and to my den. All seven-- *Wait, six!?!?* I pushed my live pups aside as I reached the corpse of my youngest pup, Zilla. "No, no, no, no!" I cried. "Smoke, what the heck!?!?" "What?" Smoke growled. "Why are you mad at me?" "It would have been REALLY helpful if you had the pups go in the den!" I growled. "They ambushed us!" Smoke said. "I didn't have time to do anything!" "Well--" I began, but Flare cut me off. "Stop fighting!" he whimpered. "I... I don't want... I don't want fighting." I looked at my pups. Leliah was whining, Shady was moping around, and Spark and Mist were howling sadly. I couldn't just yell at my mate. I had to take care of my babies. It was my responsibility, as their mom.

Hey Seri! The easiest way to see if there is a baby around is to find a lone elk/deer and if they run away from you, then there is no baby. If they stand their ground when you approach them, then there is a baby somewhere.

Hey Seri, nice video! I'm glad to see you enjoying the game. A small tip is that the music that started playing around 5:52 means that you are near a mother ungulate that has a baby hidden in the grass. The music is connected to the mother, not the baby, so you can tell when you are getting out of range of the baby. Hope this helps!

I love this game so much and your stories are so fascinating... Also, i've learned by playing that if you howl when you're nearby a newborn baby that's in hiding, the mother will rush to their location to defend them cause she knows you're close enough to kill them thus giving them away.. I accidentally did this the other day and I was like "you just gave your baby away ma'am". xD

Here's a bit of fan fiction: I sat sniffing air, knowing that spring was here, there should be baby elk and deer. Thanks to Genesis I remembered that baby deer and elk don't emit smell. I started a steady trot toward my den. Feeling a bit more tired with each step I reminded myself of all my little pups waiting for me at the den so I kept pushing on. When I finally reached the den my puppies came out, pushing each other out of the way. I smiled as I watched them. I put down the chunk of meat I was carrying. Calypso was the first to have a taste.The others came after her pushing, grunting, whining but still Calypso stood her ground until she was finished. As I watched them I decided to play. I could see they loved that idea. Play bowing, howling and play rolling were all incorporated. I needed a rest so I put my head on my paws and started to drift off to sleep. The last thing I saw was Marigold laying on her back as she was snuggling close. When I woke up I felt a bit more energized. Still needing a rest though, I could smell some enemy territory weakening, just ripe for the taking. As I was deciding to go I smelled an eagle. "Get in the den!" I barked at my pups. Filling with rage I jumped up and snapped at that eagle. "I will not lose another puppy to the likes of you!" I growled . The eagle gave up. I squeaked at my pups to let them know they could come out. I realized what had just happened and grew even more tired. So I decided to rest. After that I decided to strengthen my territory. I saw a moose calf as I was walking around and immediately knew not to go to close to them. Soon after that I smelled deer scent. As I was following the scent I came across a lucky rabbit's foot. Ahh... food. I wolfed it down in one giant bite. Challenging as life is, I was making my in it. I might never be the most powerful but I will not be the weakest! I carried out a long howl to show I'm the boss of this territory, no one will ever just crush me without a fight. I happily carried on my duties to me, my puppies, my mate, and my territory.
