Alternate theory: the sharks are in an aquarium. That would explain the different species, as aquariums sometimes put different species of sharks that they know won’t harm each other in the same tanks. The older sharks are the ones that had been there the longest, so they “adopt” the younger sharks that are caught in the wild and help them adjust to their new life.

I get where some of the confusion is, but, remember, you're comparing tiny babies to fully grown adults. Teenagers will often eat more than adults due to growth, but they're also roughly the same size. Caloric intake has a lot to do with size/weigh, as well as activity and growth. Babies only have growth going for them, whereas adults are a LOT bigger and usually a lot more active. At 10 lbs a baby would need about 550 calories a day, according to Google, compared to an adult's 2000; although that number can be much higher if the adult engages in a lot of physical labor (up to 6000 in extreme cases).

Nah, kids love youtubers. It's one of the most common answers when asked what they want to be when THEY grow up. Up there with doctor, pilot etc. I've heard it's the MOST popular. Not sure if I beleive it, but it IS a theory...
