Salvation comes when the person is broken, that is to say they have had God reveal himself and they understand their desperate situation of a fallen nature that cannot be accepted by God. Repentance happens, the man is saved through by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and the man becomes indwelled by the Holy Spirit, this new nature will battle with the old fallen nature of the natural, unrepentant man. All of it, every last element of the salvation process is a gift from God.
