I wish I was better. I may not have done even a fraction of what a lot of others have done in terms of sin, but what I did do was enough warrant my Lord Jesus to have six inch iron nails hammered into His hands and feet and hoisted on a cross after being beaten, spit upon, whipped and put through two mock trials and found guilty when He was not. Jesus is the one who saved me and I never deserved it. He loved me for my entire life and it took me until I was 19 to turn to Him to be saved.

Me too. I had just watched the video that Alice Cooper gave about how he found Jesus, and then I saw the thumbnail of Jim Carrey right after and I busted into tears. Every time I watch the 2000 version of The Grinch I always thought about Jesus especially after his heart grew and the sun came out, and now to see Jim Carrey proclaiming Christ is like God was telling me that he was going to become a believer even back then. The words we hear him say in this video don't make it clear if he is saved in the classical Christian sense. He indicates that Jesus "had a choice to make" (presumably like we do) about His own suffering, and He chose grace. Jim does not say anything about the sacrifice of Christ being the means of the forgiveness for our own sin (which often causes the suffering of ourselves and others), and that it is the ultimate source of grace we should offer to those who cause us suffering. We forgive because He first forgave us. The Gospel is not about dealing with suffering, but rather dealing with the root cause of that universal affliction.

The Spirit of Truth is the way truth and eternal life. You must be born of the Spirit of YHWH to get to YHWH. Jesus was speaking for the Father not of himself.

I’m a survivor of trauma, abuse, bullying and stalking that almost caused me to take my own life! When my PTSD takes over, and panic attacks begin and I feel a lone again. I understand this could be Gods plan and purpose for me! The pain will never go away, but I’ve learned to just cope with for the past 15 years! I think about Jesus and what he went through! The choice was clear when our 1st born son died at 33 from fentanyl in 2022 1 week before his 34th birthday. I could see clearly 2 paths. Dive into depression which I had in the past, or go to God & take my pain to him. I called a good friend who was a former Marine like myself. He is a solid deliver in Christ. There appears to be a 180 degree change of heart for Jim Carrey from a few years ago. Praise God that the Holy Spirit of God can and does change hearts, many times through suffering as Jim Carrey mentioned. I pray that many people will hear of this change and have the same desire to have their lives changed in the same manner. That is exactly how Jesus Christ is glorified. If Jesus can change my heart, he can change anyones heart and mind.

My suffering lead to salvation. I truly believe the Father allowed my last relationship, for me to finally turn to Him, (knowing that situation was NEVER going to last).
