I wish this information was around in the 1960's. I have not been officially diagnosed, but a PBS special on dyslexia pointed it out in the late 80's. My mother tried private tutors, hooked on phonics, and various other methods. Made through school (not my favorite) and became an engineer at a television station. Did not like school, but love learning. Still very quiet. The school system needs to find these children work on their level. Instead of tour torturing them in the standard method and killing their self-esteem.

Yes it's too bad nobody knew. What's really unfortunate is that now that the information is available it's really not put to use by the school system and not well known by parents

Confidence really does have the ability to make or break individuals school and Society often put neurodivergent individuals down so having something that you can build confidence in is important

Support from family is a powerful thing. I personally don't have that, but it's ok. Not all parents have a growth mindset it takes hard dedication.

Yes, many of us didn't. For me that was the motivation to build the growth mindset course. To help those that don't know
