A lot of men get into these situations because have a “problem solver” mentality. So our wife or girlfriend not wanting sex is seen by us as just another problem to solve. So we try to figure out what we need to do to get her to want sex again. And women know this. Thank you Sis. Char for your spot on comments. Words do matter in a man’s sexual desire towards his wife(person). That had a lot to do with my interest in sex with my wife. I too suffer from ED and sought help. As we got older, I’m not as spontaneous as I was when we were younger. When I would try to initiate the process, I would get brushed off. And furthermore, I was the last thought for the day. Now mind you I had a safety sensitive job with early morning hours. So we can’t wait to 9 or 10 pm to do something and I have to get up at 2:30am for work. It wasn’t happening. We talked about it on occasion but fell on deaf ears. So on top of ED issues it seemed one sided. So henceforth to today we are separated and headed for divorce. 😢

If you can't match that, let that man go. Don't lead with it, only to turn it off later. If she can't heal from traumas that affected her as a woman, then that is up to her to deal with it before committing to a relationship and or marriage. If a husband has anything personal he's going through, he's not blatantly withholding sex from his wife and she more than likely knows about it and they have an understanding. This person's comment said nothing about if the husband is going through emotional or physical deterioration, only a man withholding from the woman.
