Thanks for stopping by the channel! Getting more into some bushcraft and decided to put a kit together. Some things I’ve used for a while but most things new to me. Looking forward to learning and expanding my knowledge of everything outdoors! Planning on documenting every step of the way so if you’re into that please consider subscribing to the channel!
Will be posting more videos on this topic throughout the seasons!
God bless you guys!

Mors Kohanski used to take a survival scarf, which was a large bag made from rip-stop nylon, if needed he would fill it with leaf litter for insulation, and wear it like a scarf around his neck.I thought why not a cheap sleeping bag liner? Better put some bright tape or ribbon on that Fero rod too.I use reflective tape.

Nice gear run through , thanks for sharing it. The bag looks ideal! I’ve just got a 20lt savotta day back and will be putting very similar stuff in. Totally agree about having a tarp! DD make this ‘magic carpet’ which is basically a small emergency tarp/ground sheet that is handy to have too and is pretty cheap (in the uk anyway). First video from you I’ve seen - subbed!

Hey thanks for stopping by! I try to make that clear in all videos. Tho I love gear you don’t need to much! Or anything expensive. I would never wanna discourage someone with a small budget. The most important thing to have is the will to go outside! Haha hope you’re well man. Thanks for the comment

That's slick love how you rigged the haversack to the pack man, I've got a haversack kit it's a helikon tex really like it but it's more for day trips not enough room to store a sleep system just basics like canteen headlamp fire kit saw axe food first aid map compass etc but now I can add it to the outside without removing kit from one bag to the next

Great video if anyone is going to be in the outdoors they will need one, I tried to do without a bag and used an old gym bag and got tired of my stuff getting soaked, and when I got home I would have to take everything out of the bag to let my stuff dry out.

@@OutpourOutdoors I have been doing some winter camping. You definitely need to have the proper gear though. A good sleeping pad with a high R value and a good sleeping bag with a reputable EN rating. I also got a tipi tent this year from Luxe with a folding wood burning stove to warm the tent. It’s awesome!
@OutpourOutdoors

@@donnyzarra yeah I have a little folding stove and tipi tent as well I use a cot and Cabelas instinct pad and 0 degree bag and man I’m always so toasty warm. What sucks is unzipping the bag in the morning after the stove has been off haha 😂 all that cold air meets you like a punch in the face! Haha 😂

Hello so I'm a new subscriber and I'm gonna hit u up with a question most won't ask u. I'm a white boy who's lived in the ghetto or hood my whole life. I'm a hip hop dancer and choreographer, hairstylist and urban clothing designer. But some know about me that I'm an outdoorsman and bushcrafter and backpacker. I don't dress like it or act like it. But I love gear!!!! And I own a whole bedroom dedicated to gear! And I love loading up one of my packs and heading out with a friend and tearing up the wild. We live in a war zone of gangbangers, gunfire and dangerous shit every time we leave our building. We love gear and we share this stuff together but like I said we're both hood to the core. We're good people but bad boys. I've worn a flag out my back pocket years ago and ran neighborhood's and did what I had to to survive and I loved the life to be honest. It doesn't matter what color u r here u do what u gotta do.. But my whole life I've never met an African American outdoorsman especially not a bushcrafter buying hidden woodsman gear and all the gear we or u pack in ur bag. Where I live no African American has ever said they wud ever go camping let alone have fun out in the woods somewhere. Their culture has always disliked the outdoors. So I ask u how did u find all this and get into it? I'm surprised I'm even the way I am considering where I'm from. I can cock a 5950 hat over a bandana and sag my pants and then the next day I'm out in the wild building shelters and alcohol burners and fire steels. Etc etc. I listened to ur video music while ur video played and it was just acoustic guitar music like what my uncle loves. I think it's great someone of ur culture can break the typical mold. Most my friends r African American and they look at us sideways when we head out for the day or night or weekend. I'm just wondering about ur story. It's cool shit though. I just hope im not offending u but u can see why I'm asking. It is different and I know cuz I come from the life. Anyways ur story interests me and I hope u keep loving the outdoors and doin ur thing. Rock out homey and I wish u the best.!! Keep it up!

I’m not offended I understand why you think that way. I’ve grew up in New York City. Was never raise to be an outdoors men. I’ve traveled the country and the world. I’ve lived on the east I’ve lived in California. I’ve been to Africa and Europe. All my travel and all the people I’ve met just showed me one thing. Everyone is the same. Check me out on instagram @outpoureast ☺️ and thanks for stopping by the channel and chatting 🙏🏽 oh and I’m not African American at all I’m Cuban and Dominican. Honestly When I was in Africa most of the people there are 8 billion times the outdoorsman of anyone that I’ve met here it’s their life. So it’s just a mindset brother you just have to change your mindset.

@@OutpourOutdoors thankyou sir for getting back to me. And I'm soo sorry for thinking u were African American if that upset u. My bad completely. I'm white but my half brother is half African American and most people think he's Mexican etc. He took his new wife to Mexico for a vacation and even the Mexican locals thought he was their ethnicity. Sometimes on camera it's not the easiest to pick out or identify exactly our differences. I hope u understand cuz I as a person wud never want to offend. I think it's amazing uve traveled to such wonderful places. I've hardly ever made it out my neighborhood except when I was young. I danced and got classical training and now I do choreography and was a hairstylist too. But I never had money. I'm also disabled so doin certain things was not always in the cards for me. I was a celebrity in my state but most didn't know all the stuff wrong with me that i had to overcome. I still really have to overcome stuff. My life...everything is against me. So I watch channels like urs to escape. I love backpacking and I'm a huge gear head. The gear is expensive but the hobby is free. And that's right up my alley. Right now I'm trying to train to dance again but now... stuff like a huge curve in my spine and rheumatoid arthritis all over and more then just that is keeping me from my dreams at the moment. It is about mindset. For u it was overcoming ur stuff and expanding what u knew to a new awareness and seeing the world from lifestyles many never knew about unless TV shows us. I went to Mexico and lived in cally and Minnesota all the projects from there to here. I hope one day I can see the sights uve seen. I've always wanted to see Africa...for me it a whole other world. The animals and sunsets I wanna see. I think it's a life changing blessing u got to have. It wud be for me. Thankyou for answering my questions. And I am truly sorry I didn't recognize ur ethnic background correctly. It's embarrassing!! But be well and I hope u can change minds and show others the beauty of the outdoors and what we need to save before humanity ruins all of it. Have a great day wherever u are!!! Sincerely, Jason V.
