@@kaimargonar1000 Only thing overcomplicated in terms of design in the Old Republic was the customizable armors, if I recall. Everything else was more practical and less flashy for Jedi than in the High Republic. If anything, flashy clothes usually pointed to vanity since the Jedi were supposed to be warrior-monks. The only exception should be the diplomats, but it seems pretty consistent in the High Republic. Can't say I like all of the bright colors, but that's just me.

The High Republic on a whole has been an absolute triumph in brilliant, vibrant & engaging storytelling, but this comic series is... something else. I've been so thoroughly drawn in by these wonderful characters, particularly Keeve Trennis & her former Master Skeer. Their deep, caring, yet quickly & dramatically changing relationship is absolutely enthralling. I feel like I'm watching a dramatic Tragedy unfold in real time & I can't take my eyes of it. I don't think my heart will be able to take what appears to be the inevitable outcome though. Whatever happens, I think it's going to hurt.

People want to hate on everything High Republic because they want to get the dynamics of politics involved with Star Wars...but this comic arc totally kicked ASS!!! One of my absolute favorite arcs recently...just like Light Of The Jedi!!!

Absolutely loved this first arc! Like you said, it was fun seeing characters from all the books getting thrust in here and drawn so well! Very excited and curious for this next arc because some of the characters have major roles in the Wave 2 novels as well.

The High Republic is the Game of Thrones of Star Wars you don’t know what’s going to happen or who will live or die. All previous Star Wars series except for Old Republic and after Return of the Jedi have a clear endings and you know who’s going going to live and die like Kit Fisto fighting Grievous since you know his fate in revenge of the Sith you know he wasn’t going to die. But the High Republic is a New Frontier we can explore and see the Jedi as actually peacekeepers and not glorify bodyguards as they are in Clone Wars. High Republic all the way

Not sure how as we don't know his ultimate fate but I'll say the "no shortcuts on lights path" line is one of the best Jedi quotes I've ever read. Up there with "there is no try" and "it matters which side".

I love the High Republic, although I'm not a comic reader so thanks for the summary. But hearing it out loud makes me realise how nonsense so much of this sounds. All these made up names sound ridiculous strung together.

I thought this story was interesting, but the pacing was so rushed it was hard to buy in. In one short comic the Jedi and hutts go from enemies to allies, pages after the hutt is attacked by a Jedi. It was just a whirlwind and made Avar’s decision, which I think may have major consequences, feel almost casual.

It seems to be trying to be a character-driven story focusing on Kreeve and Skeer, but...I don't care for either. Prolly just not the right demographic for this, though.

@@Blue5Standingby not really the story is not interesting and it feels like it rips apart the myth and legacy of the jedi and sith idk why i just feel like it does this is just my opinion. The story is boring and it doesnt draw me in like the vader comic or some of the others, its just not engaging enough just filler in the canon.
