The irony here, if I'm understanding the situation, is that the generations after us are the ones cancelling us? Don't they realize Gen X is the entire reason why we can now have kids who are out, proud and living as themselves? Ours was the generation that first embraced diversity. We were the ones who were all about self-expression, living authentically and accepting that others could be different yet those differences weren't something to divide us. I don't get it. Yeah, the difference is we said be yourselves & stuck to the idea of minding our own business. Now we have backward laws that are more strict & confining which are trying to overcorrect each other. One thing Gen X doesn’t like is ppl telling us what to do. I still believe in diversity, but I’m also stubborn as sh!t & have issues with authority figures.
