Good vid: I'm also in the same process as you. I tried very low sens and my aim was shit. I learned to incorporate the arm though, and even distribute the tension if you will. so now I switched back to higher sens and I feel like I'm flying

Something you might like is you play suavetrack (or something else that utilizes more of the mousepad, i love suave) on low sens to you, and you get to work on mouse resets. For me, after getting so confident in resetting my mouse, i ended up going from really high to then really low sens, after dealing with the mouse resetting hurdle. The targets just feel bigger, i just had to be willing to throw my mouse around on my pad

There's a bit of misinformation in this video, this is just a critique so newer players understand a little better, I don't want to hate or anything but I feel that I should point it out. 1. A micro correction is what you do after a long flick, yes he technically explained it properly but the example at 0:31 wasn't the best to show it. A flick is a long motion, where you usually land a little bit off the target, then micro correct back on to their head. (He did say this but didn't show it) 2. The bardpill method at 2:10 seems to be misunderstood. It is not a style of aim in dots, but rather a method of resetting if you miss when play a dot scenario. The Bardpill method is restarting if you miss any shots in the first 10 seconds and then restarting if you miss more than 3 times after that. The rest of the explanation at 2:10 (About flicking) seems to resolve my issue with #1. 3. 3:30. Tension management is important but not because you want tension, tension is generally a bad thing because the more tense your muscles are, the less you are able to control the mouse, (Think trying to slowly move your bicep when its fully flexxed, vs trying to slowly move it while it's not flexed) making for worse overall aim. He did explain this well for clicking but I figured I would say something about it for anyone who doesn't know. 4. 6:30. I've heard that people like to read pasu targets rather then predict them, while it's hard to tell the difference, it is there. I believe I heard MattyOW say it but it could have been some other aim pro. 5. I love how he talks about using both his arm and fingers to aim at 16:00. This is very important for beginners to know. Overall very nice video! You're super knowledgable and I'll def be looking at more of your videos!

I disagree with you about point 2. With regards to point 2, you're right that that is the meat of the bardpill method, but bardoz was the first big aimer to really make a key distinction between the first flick and then the microcorrection. Zeeq said something similar, but bardoz was the first person to really make it super explicit as part of how he practices and how it is the optimal way to train.

@@SpawnofHasturBardoz didnt do anything but give that technique a name, many pros have been using the technique. But yes he is the first to give a name and actually put it into words. But pros been flicking like that before aim trainers even existed.

Hey DDK do you feel that even with a fingertip grip that arm sleeve ending at your wrist is enough? Or have you tried some that go further up
@ddkesports
@ddkesports 2 ай бұрын
I haven't tried any that go further up. I do sometimes need to reposition the sleeve so it goes up enough but not too far, so I should definitely try another sometime. With that said, I haven't felt like it's an issue for me.

Do you think something like drakens "30 degree window" comes from the friction aspect, maybe he had too much friction and couldn't do those small flicks or something
@ddkesports
@ddkesports 2 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's possible that there's a leak in his technique there. With that said, it could also just be a match form issue or a setup issue like you said. I have very little info on him now, so it's hard to say which one it is. Ideally, you'd need to see him in his normal environment outside of matches to get the cleanest picture, so seeing how his aim looks in scrims would be a really good indication. It may not be an issue outside of the match environment. Maybe if I can get the podcast going with THREAT, he can offer some insight on this one!

I appreciate that you go in depth but I feel like this video could have given me the same amount of information in 10 minutes instead of 21. Being compact and getting straight to the point is recommended with yt videos in my opinion.

What is that other mousepad?
@sh0uta794
@sh0uta794 2 ай бұрын
With the skypad i feel like doing the micro micro flicks, the truly small ones, my mouse gets stuck to the pad. It feels as if there is a small zone where i cant move my mouse but then it just jumps out of the zone when i hit enough power to make the mouse move. The only time this effect is minimal with fresh skates for like the 1st hour. I wonder if u experienced anything like that on yours. How did/do you deal with it?

Daniel what's your opinion on the rjn pill? Smaller the mouee better the aim? Also nice title
@ddkesports
@ddkesports 2 ай бұрын
This is a great question. Maybe I'll make a video to weigh in. I haven't put much thought into it, but I'm familiar with the argument. Dr Hwu made a great thread recently about a popular grip on CS that donk, zywoo and twist use, where they are placing their wrist joint closer to the sensor. This seems to have a similar effect. Donk has small hands yet he is a monster on that grip with a mouse that would definitely feel large for him if he gripped it normally. I know the small mouse idea from rjn is about how close your fingers can get to the sensor by gripping from the side, I think he uses the analogy of holding a pen. Perhaps this is a similar principle, by placing the wrist joint closer to the sensor, that mitigates mouse size to a degree.

Yeah, I accidentally released the longer video. I had it all set up and then decided I wanted to do a bigger edit. I thought I had unscheduled it but that wasn't the case, and it released. As it was performing well, I decided to keep the video up. I still wanted to do the edit, though, so I figured I'd do that and just have both videos up. I felt like the video is also just different enough that it would provide some extra value to anyone who watched the first one.
