I love Rob he’s been hitting 300+ since he came here he’s made a home here and i honestly think he should be resigned more than 1 year. He’s definitely a leader he’s always playing his heart out and never ceases to impress. I think he’s still got 2-3 years more of this type of play.

Rob Refsnyder deserves to be on the team next year. There is a team option for next year. It should be picked up. They need right handed bats and makes a back up outfield. Dollar for Dollar he is probably the most valuable Red Sox. He also will not complain if he has a diminished role. Players like Nick Sogard and Mikey Gesper are not going to be stars but they could become very important pieces they can learn a lot form someone like Rob Refsnyder .

I said this after he came back from the broken toe that he has quietly been one of the most important Red Sox player the last year or two and 2024 would be the year he truly proved his worth (given how left handed the team was) he’s such a professional, he understands his role, he doesn’t complain when he’s playing less, he brings it when he’s in there, always ready to come off the bench in a pinch hit role. So many people during ST was saying they needed to cut him because we had too many OFers. He’s proven how important he is to this team. Glad he’s getting some love

We're very lucky that Ref saved us last night. The fact that they struggled to beat the Rangers is very concerning. They had 15k last night against the Rangers pitching. It's now 55 K in the past 4 games. What is Fatse teaching these guys? Hopefully, this win broke us out of this K funk.

No need to extend him He has a team option just pick it up. He is also older and if the Red Sox wish to continue wait to the end of September and offer him a one year contract year to year. He stated that he liked the security when he signed his last contract.

I can't see Ref staying just because there are so many outfielders and so many kids coming up. They should hire him as a bench coach (doubt he's ready to hang it up especially coming off what is likely his best season of his career but still)

@@redseatradio the issue is you can't keep 6 outfielders and you have Masa, Rafaela, Duran, Abreu, Ref, Anthony, and potentially O'Niell also... Something has got to give. Maybe you keep Anthony down another year, maybe you don't resign O'Neill, maybe you don't resign Ref, if you don't do any of those then you only have 4 outfielders but it seems unlikely they don't do at least one of those three. Idk I think they'd like to keep him but I think the outfield is too crowded to do so especially since it's unlikely Ref is going to have another career year next year and he's probably third on the list behind Anthony and O'Neill in my opinion.

The previous Sox CBO rebuilt the system with what seems to be some promising positional prospects however failing to address the pitching staff Breslow came aboard acknowledged the shortfall “saying they needed 2 starters “ and did nothing! His offensive numbers clearly indicate that he is a keeper : 7 HR, 15 2B, .300 AVE, .481 SLG, .869 OPS ... His MLB experience is also invaluable in the clubhouse with so many young faces comprising this roster ...

I heard the Angels released Zach Plesac. Think the Red Sox will sign him and that bum Rich Hill? I can see them doing that. Plesac is cheap and was running an era over 5.6 in triple A. But he has some ML experience. Should be CHEAP. Just like how John Henry likes them.
