If a coordinator has years of experience perhaps the bride is willing to pay that much. I am certified but little to no experience and will not charge that. As from experience people want a coordinator vs a planner as it's cheaper. They can use the venues planner and get a coordinator to work the day of. I was paid $400 I believe the one wedding I coordinated and we agreed to $250. I recall them paying me extra after having me pay the girls for helping to set up. I had an interview in the summer to be a wedding planner assistant and she was paying $200 per wedding I believe as a flat rate to work for her company. I didn't have enough hands on wedding experience though I have done events. I am in NYC.
