That “I was considering this character for my main” diff goddamn. Forget raw character strength, who’s good or who’s bad, Sajam’s knowledge and obviously his far more experience and more immediate comfort in playing Juri is the reason behind that 88% win rate. Even his “easy gameplan will do” characters like Kimberly and Manon don’t even come close to how much he dominated here with Juri. Only Honda, maybe, had he not trolled as hard as he did with the blindfold may have come close, but I think Juri still would’ve had the higher winrate. Wild seeing a Master’s run like this, with what is essentially a real secondary for Sajam. It shows exactly what he means when he says these are the same diamond players we’re all playing against, he just has that much more experience than them all. This feels like the closest I think we’ve seen to watching him play completely seriously on Stream and it was a treat. I know he’s sick of ranked and is planning on taking a long well deserved break after this, but I’m honestly so curious to see him go back to Luke and start playing against actual Master Ranked players. Maybe go for the 2000 MR with Luke?

@@goldskarrA quick seems to show that the Juri begins her s. mp (?) frames against Jamie in Training only for the rest of it to come out against the Ryu player. I think that's what they meant.

The substantive discussions about Juri included here were a treat, the parts about Dhalsim matchup and her dash I 100% agree with. While Juri's dash is situational from the commitment making stuff like shimmies difficult and overshooting/getting clipped much more likely, ultimately being the character who's knockdowns send the enemy far + a long dash to match is a good thing, get to the corner fun zone quicker

To touch on some of the comments he made about rank, I think the reason why people don't take ranked in SF6 seriously is because it's too forgiving. It's too easy to climb. You can win 3 games, then lose 3 games and instead of being even you're 30 lp up. People who should be in silver are in plat.

It does feel forgiving in that way but Plat seems like the big stopping point for a lot of unrealistically ranked players because of how much of a grind it still is. And if they keep adding ranks passed Master it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Bro tell me about it, I suck at SF and my first ever placement matches put me in like top of plat. Literally over 60 losses later, with maybe 5 wins in between, I’m still in plat, so now I just can’t have any fun, cause I’m way too high ranked.
