In this concert they are Gene Chrisman (drums), Mike Leech (bass), Reggie Young (guitar), Bobby Wood and Bobby Emmons (keyboards). I was at this show. I love 'em all, but Waylon, more than the others, seemed to embrace the whole Highwaymen concept. He gestured and talked to the audience, made jokes at his own and everyone's expense, and got the crowd into it. Cheryl--Great. I wish I knew more about him. I only learned about Lee and got into his music because of the Highwaymen. I hope he made some decent royalties from the Highwaymen record. If you know Lee, maybe you can ask him about the second verse, which Waylong sings here. The lyric sites all say: "I'm gonna find me a reckless woman/ With razor blades and dice in her eyes." Common sense tells me the real lyric has to be "With razor blades and ICE in her eyes." I've heard o an icy stare, but never a dicey stare. I think Lee sang it with a hard "d" at the end of "and" and lyric transcribers mistakenly attached it to "ice" and made it "and dice." Waylon also sings it with a hard "d" making it sound like "and dice," but Istill think it's "ice."
