I made the hike back in April 2018. It was one of the highlights of my life. I also have a video on KZbin of my hike but this video is the best I have seen of the hundreds I have watched. The angle above and looking down is unique and really shows this awesome, narrow sliver of rock and just how this hike is set apart from any other, with the exception of Half Dome in Yosemite, which is the other hike on my Bucket List that now will probably not happen due to a severe heart attack only three months after my Angels Landing hike. SO glad I got to do this when I did!!

So sorry to hear about your heart attack. When you love hiking, having a health issue must suck. I hope you find another outside hobby to bring you joy. I loved this hike too and will always remember it. Be well man.

It was an epic hike that's for sure. I think my wife has Half Dome in site, so that will probably be happening next year for use. So happy you had the chance to get Angles Landing in and definitely take good care of yourself. I'm rooting for you!

Is there any more resolution available in the 360 view than 1080, I thought you could get almost 2k. Nice hike, would like to do that, but it's a little like being in a long shopping line. wounder how many times I trow up ?

Yes, the camera is capable of higher resolution. From my understanding, you have to sign up now to hike Angels Landing so there should be less traffic on the hike.

No. I did the whole thing one handed since I was holding the 360 camera. You just have to be careful.

Yep, new hips. They're a miracle and NO, no pain at all.

The Photillustrator and did you get both hips at the same time? I’ve been told they will only do one at a time. How long were you in the hospital?

Yes, I was a cash patient so my doctor agreed to do both at the same time, and it also didn't hurt that I'm in my 40's. I was in the hospital overnight and home the next day. Within a month I was back to work creating awesome family portraits and within two months I was hiking up the mountains in Vale, CO.

Would you make this hike up to Angel's Landing?

I have hiked it probably 20 times. Last time was in 2017. I am old enough to remember when I saw very few people on the hike. In 2017 I wore an action cam on my hat. Since it was on my hat, it only captured what I was looking at, which was a lot of looking where my feet were going. Since I was 64 yrs old at the time, I had to be very careful. Your high-mounted excellent quality equipment, and your ability to carry it and proceed with one hand brings a whole new prospective to this great hike. Thank you for that. I will play it many times, and have shared it to help others I know get an idea of what I have tried to explain in words, photos and videos. I Love Zion!!! I moved to Kanab 21 years ago to be close to this gem.

@@Photillustrator Yes. We live in the center of the Grand Circle,. Kanab, UT. We are able to closely experience 3 Parks and Lake Powell on a frequent basis. Zion is our favorite, and in our hearts.
