However, the main reason they used the soundstage one instead of this it's because Brody was with Avril Lavigne at the time so the one with LC wasn't used due to fears that Brody might be accused of two timing, LOL. Luckily, MTV finally aired the LC ending in 2013, three years after the original show ended.

I think the producers stuck to the original ending because this one left too many questions open. At the time people thought this show was REAL. After the ending I was like “WTF?” The MTV personality hosting the watch-party seemed to share my sentiment.
