Now that I am older, looking back at this show I can see how much of a narcissist Spencer really was. He completely isolated Heidi and alienated her from her friends. I don’t know what he’s like behind closed doors but I was in an abusive relationship myself for a year and he moved onto another woman and they’ve been together for quite a while now. It was almost to the point where it made me question the validity of what I experienced so sometimes you have to relive the bad times to remember and verify that it wasn’t in fact you that was the problem. I think people would be surprised at how long relationships like this can go on for…it wasn’t just me. I almost died a couple times so I know it wasn’t all in my head. It upsets me a great deal knowing that this woman he’s with is probably going through the same thing. But there is nothing I can do, as a previous abuse survivor I can’t p*ss him off, I have to keep him out of my life. I hope she’s okay…

They are equally insane. Didn't think Heidi would fall into some thing like that. Spencer is a sociopath. Easy for people in turmoil to fall for, and his characteristics look for that and build on it. I don't think she's a bad mom whatsoever but I think she is incredibly controlled and manipulated to be this "person" that has no flaws. That reflects with the plastic surgery she has done to her face. I honestly can't believe it. She was so pretty beforehand!
