Good evening sir, Today’s motivational quote is “Work hard stay positive.” Editorial is related to reducing the excise duty on petrol and diesel. In my opinion:- The ruling government has cut the excise duty on petrol and diesel which will somewhere help reduce the current inflation which is currently on the top. The decision clears that the ruling regime wants to reduce the inflation anyhow. For the last six months, the rate of fuel prices has been increasing day by day due to which the poor are facing lots of problems and they have little option to continue their livelihood. Generally, many government and private agencies do their survey and project India’s inflation but they have little option to curb the inflation. Sometimes, it has been seen that situation is totally contrast to the projection and then question is what its benefit is. The RBI, which works for increasing and decreasing interest rates, must find actual reason of it instead of simply saying the interest rates are being increased/decreased. Regular talks must be convened with developed countries that have already controlled the inflation, if needed, suggestions/opinions could also be sought from them that will somewhere help reduce the inflation. With the help of fuel, goods are transported from one place to another so there can be no denying that it plays a major role in the India’s economy. The current regime must put all out efforts on the matter in consultation with economists who have well-versed on it. Generally, political parties blame each other for increasing the inflation so they must work on how to control it instead of making allegations as it somewhere harms the development of the country.
