Good evening sir, Today’s motivational quote is “It’s okay to start small and think big!” Editorial is related to giving nod for use of Corbevax as a booster dose. In my opinion:- The world has experienced an unprecedented loss due to the pandemic crisis, however if the ruling government had shown more alacrity, the spread of the coronavirus could have been stopped earlier across the India. Despite trial of Covaxin and Covishield were going on, the Government had given emergency approval for use of both vaccines. Such government’s actions somewhere violate the norms of the DCGI. In the beginning, people were reluctant to inoculate themselves as the government did not clear about the efficacy of the vaccine. However, when the people experienced good results, they voluntarily went to the vaccination centre and took both the doses of the vaccine. Now, the government has given approval for use of Corbevax as a booster dose for all adults those who have taken both doses. Now question is how many doses are required for curbing the spread of the virus. There can be no denying that discovering a new vaccine is a long process but the government must clear all the factual things of the booster dose among the people so that they can inoculate themselves willingly and also help to curb the transmission of the virus. Over two years, it is true that the government has focused on inoculating all which is a tough work in India where a large number of people live. It has been seen that the government is somewhere lagging behind in making reforms in hospital sectors that were experienced huge shortage of staff, medicines and other basic things at the time of pandemic crisis so the ruling government must take all necessary action on priority so that such type of crisis could be avoided in future.
