I have a BMW 540i. I too put my coffee between my knees. The cup holders won't hold anything, but then, 20 years ago, cup holders weren't a BMW priority. The V8 six speed was.

I got the keys to a press M5 in 2000, was the most memorable thing I have ever driven. Turn traction control off and you had a rudder under your right foot. I am glad I wasnt paying for fuel or tyres.... So easy to drift and so easy to control.

It isn't hard to drive an E39 BMW M5 like this, they practically beg you to drive them this way. That 180 to curb check to passenger eject might be tricky though reaching for the back door handle @ the right moment & might damage the car.

The BMW film series "The Hire" is a series of eight short films (averaging about ten minutes each) produced for the Internet in 2001 and 2002. A form of branded content, the short films were directed by popular filmmakers from around the globe and starred Clive Owen as "the Driver" while highlighting the performance aspects of various BMW automobiles. "The Transporter" was also based on "The Hire" film series as director & producer Luc Besson has said in interviews. In fact, many of the elements seen in "The Hire" were incorporated into "The Transporter", right down to the BMW automobile.
