Perfectly said man that's exactly why it was always my favourite kickflip...the VX look and feel mixed with the sound of the rollup and the big shoes...just the way Dave rolls on the board his foot positioning just before he snaps it...that split second of silent hangtime and then that massive STOMP....For me no modern kickflip can ever match that kind of raw heaviness...just so fkn gnarly

I remember my friend telling me about this guy from the east coast who supposedly kickflipped el toro. Back then rumors spread about tricks, but you didn't know if anything was true or not until you saw the footage because you had to wait a while until the skate video came out. At best you would see a photo or sequence in a magazine as a teaser for the clip. So we checked out his most recent video parts and one of his hammers was kickflipping a huge set. Somewhere around the 15 or 16 stair mark like Dave talked about. When we saw that, my friend and I both looked at each other and said "I believe it."

I've never seen anyone else attempts or tricks other than what I've saw on here.. but the amount of SOLID tries.. meaning he landed where the board should have every time.. but the board didn't make it to him every time. That's solid 100% commitment every time, thinking "I got this" but the board not committing with him. You can usually tell if someone lands like they planned on the board being there or not.. this man was expecting to land it before he had it in the bad. SALUTE MY MAN! History in the making for sure. The Tre Flip by the other man was a land imo.. but I understand for bragging rights how someone wouldn't want a further ride away. NEVER STOP BEING YOURSELVES PEOPLE!
