Correct. I seek training in an area that thinks it can deny my fundamental right to bear arms. I complied with their requirements but they denied me a permit. I don't need one anyway because a right doesn't require permission. Nevertheless, I showed good faith but it only yielded a denial and, in a good way, notes from that CCW class that I can still look at from time to time.

I fortunately live on 20 acres with a 300 yard range down in the lower pasture... My daughter has brought several young left leaning girls over for handgun introduction. They were ALL scared to death... Till they fired their first mag!!! Most, (if not all) of them LOVED shooting especially when they found out they were good at it ;-) I've found most women are better shots than men, not sure why but I've had several young men leave with their tails between their legs when their girlfriend clobbered them on the range 🙂 Keep preaching Reid!!! im certain that ALL firearms instructors would be absolutely swamped with way more work than they could handle if the fees were halfed or quartered. that way the rich wouldnt be the only ones who can afford this critically needed training. i am also certain that firearms instructors would also get filthy rich even if they quartered their fees. love yer work Reid, wish i could come train. ❤

I’m surprised the NRA hasn’t been jumping all over this because it goes against the very reason the NRA was originally founded, not to mention destroying the NRA instructor programs. Another issue that is getting less attention, but not only equally important but probably related to this issue is the efforts to take away veterans’ rights to keep and bear. They’re scared as much of the veterans as much as they are of “militias” that currently don’t really exist in much of any form overall.

Reid to empathize (The ability to put yourself in the shoes of another person.) with those authoritarians you have to throw historical and logical context out the window. When they ban firearms training confidence to do anything effectively is like having a car with the brake petal hitting the floor. You end up with things like cops too afraid to do their jobs, so instead of actually responding to a case where a woman is getting raped to death or some form of gangland activity where shots are actually being fired. They instead do anything they can to avoid getting in danger. That could take the form of them just not doing their job. Or that could take the form of them screwing with a law abiding citizen to avoid doing their actual job. To some degree those people are going to want people disarmed, because that removes the consequences of bullying you for no reason. When they ban firearms training. Your stuck with state own instuitiions that limit the amount of people with those skills available. The end result of this is that there are simply a lot fewer people with those skills to use in the event of an emergency. So when the emergency finally happens like in ukraine the ruling class typically just hands out guns to make up for the staffing shortages, and use their citizens as human sheilds. Ukraine is already drafting up paperwork and is planing out how they are going to disarm their citizens again after the war is over. When they ban firearms training people tend to stop enlisting. And as you can see throughout Europe and even in the united states because the people have lost confidence in their government. (its hard to ask someone to sign up for a 8 year contract "to protect the rights of their fellow citizens" when people genuinely have a feeling that those rights aren't going to be there after they sign the doted line. The fact I'm stating 8 and not 4 should inform you of my lack of confidence that it be just 4 years.) When they ban "paramilitary activities" well that's the slippery slope that creates situations like you see already in left wing cites ranging from people being stabbed to death in open view of the public with everyone around them refusing to help (because helping them might get them in trouble with the goverment.). To the most hanous action of a woman being raped in broad daylight in front of a crowd of people and bystanders just wiped out their phones and started streaming that shit. Sure the judge might have given some of those people jail time for not doing anything besides just calling the police to save that woman, but it should speak volumes of where we are at as a society. What does it tell you about the people in charge of country pulling all this bullshit. Right at the exact same time world war 3 is right at the countries doorstep. Too me it speaks volumes about how moronic these people really are. They are stabbing us in the back with a level of disrespect that infruates me to my very bone, because we know that the second things pop off who are they going to come crawling to for help? The skinny leftist man? Or are they going to do what they did back vietnam and go after the hoodlums and the country boys for conscription? I think that might just be the straw that breaks the camels back. A wise man once said when he faced with the same problem in Europe. "You can make a person fight, but you can't pick the side they fight on."

If it was at the state level, a 1983 civil rights cause of action against law enforcement for violation of the 1st amendment freedom of speech, 1st amendment freedom of association, and 2nd amendment right to bear arms. If it is on the Federal level, a Bivens cause of action for violation of the aforementioned rights, but also an injunction banning the Federal agency from existence for violation of the enumerated powers of the US Constitution. The Roberts court would make the ATF go bye-bye in a heartbeat.
