The Emancipator has 30mm Autocannons and the obsidian only had 20mm. Overall, I don't know about the patriot, but the Emancipator is definitely a direct upgrade in terms of firepower. Also the devs have confirmed that the Lumberer is coming to the game. Eventually.

@buggy_bal They said "not anytime soon", but that was three or four months ago and considering they just added the Lumberers main gun in form of the AT-Emplacement it might actually be coming in the next few months already.

Helldivers 1 suits also had a small launcher that allowed you to call in the stratagems from the suit, without the need to leave it

The slit visor is probably a redundancy, mech probably use cameras that feed to monitors in the cockpit. And speaking of redundancies, the mechs also have an escape hatch on top, should the mech fall on it's back, the pilot won't be trapped inside.

I really hope that those open spots on the inside of the mech's hull would be updated to have extra ammo so that you can reload the arms. You could hold in the reload button while inside the mech and select the arm to be reloaded from the popup menu (similar to the menu we get when holding reload on the autocannon for example), and it could work like a magazine fed gun would, where it drops out the old ammo boxes/drums whether they're still filled with ammo or not, and replaces them with the new boxes/drums. To balance the massive amount of ammo out, the 'magazine' capacity could be reduced by around 20%, and the reloading process could take 5-8 seconds, so that you'd try to leave combat before performing the reload. For obvious reasons the rocket launcher on the Patriot would have to work differently

Why not have the pelican fly in to reload it? Sounds better to me. But I do get your point, it would be really cool to reload it yourserlf. Also having the side parts open for you to insert the ammo in would be better for safety reasons.

About the ammo for the emancipated, there is at least 60 rounds in the back pack for the auto cannon support weapon, I could easily see there being 100 or 200 rounds in those boxes if their stored right

Those exosuits have a part attached to it where you can still call down stratagems and the stratagem ball will pop out of the mechanism on the shoulder.

If you look down at the cockpit you can see that there is a cylinder-looking block with what looks like a camera on it. So this maybe a main block that provides sight for the Helldiver inside

Hey Nate me again. The Autocannons on the Emancipator have all togheter 25 rounds in 4 turret shaped ammo boxes on the sides facing the main body of the mech.

In the first game the rockets aren't anti tank on the exo44 and the obsidian isn't explosive so they are indeed upgraded from helldivers 1

The Helldivers 1 exosuits don't have doors on the back. They're just open. Helldivers 2 exosuits are total upgrades.

i hope they add a mech bay in the destroyer where you can pick n choose what weapons to add to the mech and maybe a secondary welder weapon with wich you can repair turrets and vehicles call it the arc welder or smt maybe even use the ammo backpack to refill the turret/vehicle ammo

Alright so i just want a dreadnought sized heavy mech it can be as slow as the devs want but it has to be able to dominate everything like if your team is defending a point and youre close enough you can call in the dreadmech and just start raining hellfire on the enemy with like 60mm hmgs and rockets that just look insane hell maybe even some weapon customisation the devs can even limit it to the highest difficulties
