@@benparsons4979 it is, that's why Damian uses it. He is violent like Jason, though still a child. Raised in the league of assassins, he was trained on swords and deadly arts. Batman is still working on getting all that out of him. But given the oppportunity, Damian always defaults to a sword. He is actually kinda complicated. In the comics, he is going through a strange arc. He is actually not really Batman's sidekick Robin, and is going by Robin and entering a tournament. It's coming in April, I think, and we get preludes to this run in Batman and Detective Comics next month. Sounds promising.

Tim Drake is the best Robin in my opinion and the only Robin that should take up the Batman logo. Him and Bruce have the most in common. Dick is already established in the DC Verse as Nightwing and Red Hood can't be Batman because he kills people. Batman now does not kill people.

Dick was my favorite Robin by terms he was the first. Second, Damian because he was crude and ruthless yet tried to be more like his father. Carrie from the The Dark Knight Returns is my third on the fact she kicked butt with just a slingshot and common sense. I wouldn't mind the New 52 Carrie to take up the mantle of Robin, it seems likely by now.

DrCrazyEvil Batman: The Animated Series featured Dick Grayson (but with the Tim Drake style costume and hair), and it was also Dick when they changed the name in 1994 to The Adventures of Batman & Robin. In 1997, Kids WB made a sequel series that was set 2 years later called The New Batman Adventures. Those episodes featured a grown-up Dick Grayson as Nightwing, and Tim Drake (with Jason Todd's origin) as Robin. Currently, they are -all- considered Batman: The Animated Series.

The New 52 is to DC like Ultimate is to Marvel. The New 52 has not replaced Standard DC Comics and has not actually changed the story seeing as the Standard universe is still running. The new 52 was made in order to attract a new fanbasis to the DC comics and indeed is based simply in another one of the 52 remaining universes in DC comics.

Yes that is one point of context in the 52 universes, but the standard universe is ALSO still running. You can find the DC comics, and you can find THE NEW 52 Comics. The standard DC universe was slightly altered by flashpoint but it is not the same as THE NEW 52.

They have not revealed all of the 52 remaining universes, but As was revealed by the guardians in events leading upto The Blackest Night, there are a total of 52 universes remaining from events after Crisis on Infinite Earths. In other sections it has described that the events of Flashpoint have reconnected the 52 universes and adversely changed them. As it were, The New 52 is NOT the standard DC universe, and you can still find new issues of normal DC Comics.
