I've just visited. My family were brothertons and Spires. They lived there as early as 1775 as far as my records can go back.

My ancestors from the family "NEW" lived here, and still do. Interesting history for me as I live in New Zealand. The New family had orchards on land given to them for fighting for the King in 1265 I believe. I am fortunate to have visited here a few times. Thank you

Just found your channel today I like it because it’s knowledgeable about history and funny. If a peasant tried to take my home a scythe to the head by god is the explanation I would give to the local constabulary.
