Am I the only one who wants to see the Villagers and their relationship with the player change in NH? I feel like in New Leaf they were so tame and just the same personalities over and over with nothing new when you met someone. And in PC, they were just flat out lifeless

Princess Cimorene Developing friendships with villagers would make new leaf so much better and full of life. It would make the villagers less of little animals just walking around but more of friends in your town. Idk, i love that idea though lol.

penny thats how GameCube felt. They were so mean at first then gradually they warmed up to the player. I always kind of saw it as the animals were very wary of the human player. As the days passed, they welcomed the human.

GcorpCoPrez Yeah, I really loved the villagers in the gamecube AC. Mainly because they warmed up to you throughout the time you have been there. I just think they made the villagers a bit too harsh in the gamecube ac (a lot of people would agree lol). But besides that, the idea of developing friendships in the new game would be awesome and a lot more fun. It could also determine when and how long the animal stays in your town. (Bad friendship = more likely to move)

Carlos S. To be honest i dont feel a difference in friendships with any of the villagers. The only difference is when they first move into town and then they just know you as the mayor. Maybe they do, but i honestly have never experienced it with any of the villagers in my town lol. The closest thing from what I can tell is when they either 1. send you letters or 2. give you a nickname but even then it doesnt really feel like i have a friendship with them lol. Then again, I am mainly just going off what I have experienced.

The New Horizons team is really pushing the limits of their series and using the Switch's power to it's full potential!! Proud of them and I do not mind waiting for the game since they are working so hard on it. Cant really say the same for the Pokemon team..............

jessy trahan as I kid I had a ds lite and than bought my own dsI (I did a lot of snow shoveling and saving money) but I never was able to get a 3ds so I was super upset without getting new leaf. Eventually I forgot about it but earlier this year I finally got a 3ds so I could play Pokémon games and re found new leaf and I haven’t put it down. I also got a switch just for the new game

This video was incredibly informative. Thanks! I'm not too bummed about Animal Crossing not being on the Wii U. Pretty sure Nintendo saw that the system wasn't doing too good, so focused more on spinoffs to distract us while they worked on the Switch title. I mean, from the trailers and screenshots... it looks amazing. Completely new and fresh. And it's probably going to be our only mainline game for a good while.

Nintendo did promise New Horizons for March 20th 2020 and they kept it. They got me hooked since May 18th and made me buy 2 additional switches to my 1st switch which I brought around the same time as when Splatoon 2 was released in 2017 1st Island - May 18th 2020 2nd Island - July 23rd 2020 3rd Island - December 17th 2020 4th Island - 2021?, 2022? (It's December 19th 2020, way to early to get a 4th Switch) It's just nice to be able to create my OC's and run around as them, I have hundreds of OC's but my money isn't going to stretch that far, there will be a day when i'll stop playing rendering the additional switches useless until the main one breaks down or a new game that works simular to Animal Crossing, plus it would take forever to log into each switch and maintain that number of human players. Most likely I will stop at 8 but I'm currently happy with 3 and will stick with 3 for at least 6 months.

New Horizons is awesome but missing a few things. We needed mini games and a Nooks Cranny expansion. I love that it let people stay connected last year and even was used to speak up. But it does seem they could add more stuff and instead they’re patching glitches. I want the Zelda and Splatoon villagers. It’s the perfect time for them. And they never bothered to fix multiplayer. Its fine to visit a friend one on one but people want to be in groups on someone’s island for stargazing or giveaways or whatever without constantly being told every few steps that someone just arrived or left. And don’t even start on leaving quietly. I haven’t visited an open island in a while but when I did it was extremely aggravating. I did buy digital New Lead too and it’s not bad. Sad that the online may end in 2023 but I’m sure fan servers will appear
