When I first bought the 3DS the first game I got was New Leaf. I took it everywhere with me. Unfortunately there was a thief at my restaurant job, and I never saw my 3DS or my New Leaf town ever again. I was devastated. My boyfriend wanted to make it up to me and bought his own 3DS and New Leaf game I could play whenever, but it just wasn't the same. All the time and dedication I put into that little town... Nothing could bring it back. I lost countless towns on Wild World, but my New Leaf one was just special to me. I'm so eager for a switch game though, and hope nobody steals my switch or town again or there will be fucking hell to pay.

Smug ass Isabelle i played New Leaf for over two years... I payed off my debts and finished my fossil collection. But one day I opened the game and got some horrible news. My save data for corrupted, and I didn’t have a backup. All that work was gone, and I refused to play the game since. Thankfully, after years of not getting my fix we’re getting a new game. I’m way too excited for it.

What's the point of having a grumpy villager type if they aren't going to be grumpy! It's pretty easy to just ignore a villager out of your town and having only "nice" characters.

As far as I know, it was to present a more realistic approach. It was more of a randomized, natural conversation dynamic between player and a villager. But I agree, it wasn't a superb decision on their part.

15:10, eeehhhh... Pocket Camp seemed promising but it's just an ok mobile game. The events are almost always the exact same events. Plant flowers, fishing/bug tournaments and looking around the map for event items to collect. So holidays don't really have any verity outside of items you get. The excitement of going to the shop and seeing what's new is also lost. About a month or so in you will have bought all they have to offer (only crafting and the loot boxes gets new items). You can only decorate where the game says you can (the eponymous camp, your camper and cabin). The amount of space always feels kind of limited. There is no option right now to upgrade the size of your camp or cabin. There is no museum to fill, custom music or customizing clothing. You can fish and catch bugs but they are just to give to animals in return for stuff to craft with. Really nothing changes with seasons but the events. Also this may not be a shock but it wants you to spend money. I'm not sure if this is a problem for anyone else but the load times are a pain in the ass. I'm at lvl 60 and having a lot of items which mean when I want a few items in a set and pick one the game makes you have to scroll down again to pick another item. When it's near the bottom it can be a pain even with sorting. It seems like hardly anyone buys anything from your market box. There is no real reason to buy from other players because you can get the stuff super easy. Rare items like fish or bugs are optional since no animal directly asks for them. This game could be better but it does as much as it needs to do to keep you around to spend money. *cough*fortunecookies*cough* TL;DR: it lacks a lot of what makes animal crossing enjoyable but it kills time I guess. If you like Pocket Camp that's fine but just don't waste money on it.

I think they kinda just needed filler content while they experimented and worked on development of the switch game. I don't think it would've gone very well if they'd tried to release another 3ds main series game. I do think it'd have been really nice if they worked on the development of the board game more.

Still, it was a way to get rare furniture and rare villagers into the town you can't use in ACNH. It was a worthwhile concept for getting those hard to get pieces of furniture you can't normally find out of season when they came in at just about the right timing. :3 Plus, Wisp could be used to Invite new characters into your village! Against their free will, but whatever floats people's boats, I guess...

Anyone remember when the animal crossing mobile game was suppose to have some kind of compatibility with new leaf but then got delayed then turned into pocket camp with the new leaf welcome amiibo update being super similar to pocket camp with the rv's and the meow coupons witch are a lot like leaf tickets makes me wonder if there was some kind of drama that happened during development also also makes me wonder if it had anything to do with Isao Moro stepping down as director of animal crossing I feel likes pocket camps delay and the amiibo update AND the no animal crossing for wii U are all connected somehow.

I'm happy to wait until they're good and ready, it's better not to get your hopes up too soon, lest we forget all the backlash they got from fans for that very exact thing when ACNL was repeatedly delayed. Please don't rush them; be patient and the final work of art they release will be all the better for it. In the Switch version all I want in the beginning , instead of being in a taxi, train, or bus, theres a cut scene. And that cut scene contains snippets of why you're leaving home and give you more of a feel and more emotion towards a back story of the game. Idk it's an idea. What do ya'll think?

I remember how I always used to get up at 11.55 pm on new years eve, not to go outside with my family to watch fireworks, no. But to turn on my Nintendo DS and being in my animal crossing village when it turned 00.00 o‘clock to watch pixel fireworks! Those are great memories..

I can’t wait till New Horizons come out, I got the switch last year as a late birthday/Christmas present & I been struggling to buy games for it as they cost a lot.. well it’s mostly all the Mario games but rn I’m getting New Horizons paid off on layaway so I can’t wait ! 😁 I’ve had my Nintendo 3DS for years ! & got New Leaf in 2016 & been playing it every single day ever since 😁👏🏻

Ok so, I just want to say this. I’ve played New Leaf and I thought it was pretty relaxing and fun but as you know, it got boring (I played it for 3 years off and on it.) It was great! But, I’ve alwaysss wanted to play Wild World or City Folk because everyone said how good they were and I felt like I was missing out.... Because in New Leaf they don’t exactly have personality. Which sucks because a lot of people who have played the other games know how they acted.

Animal Crossing really is a staple of my childhood. I have such good memories of Wild World. I've loved it since I was 8 years old and now I'm 21. 😂 Now that I think about it, I've been playing AC off and on for more than half of my life.
