That was very good. I'm 78 years old. I've had a great life and I look forward to the next century of learning. The concept of 'learning how to learn' was beautifully expressed near the end. I've always believed that my love of reading and consequent ability to read rapidly was very helpful in my overall education. I have tried to inspire my children and others to strive for that also.

I've got some direct experience in this stuff; this doc is really GOOD! I must say though, I don't think it's going to happen quite as fast as some of the interviewees do. For example, there is no agreed working definition of intelligence. So, tell me, what exactly are we trying to achieve in AI? One can't easily reference our minds because we don't understand much about our higher functions. We don't have any good way to come up the learning curve how a mind and a body are one integral thing.

I found it very interesting the way in which each person has a different idea about technology in general, they touched a very important topic about robots and I am very convinced that even if robots replace human beings in almost everything they will never be like us, as real as their phrase "humans need experiences to acquire knowledge and robots are simply programmed".

Every time I start watching this kind of video, it reminds me that people in general have no clue about what AI is. When a video purported about AI starts showing "robots", forget it: it will not talk about AI at all. That being said, this video is brilliant, well worth to watch.

When I was six, six decades ago, I saw a simple automaton (sticks and strings) dancing behind a shop window. I was told it was a robot. I wanted to learn all about robots. It helped me advance in the world of science and technology and learn cybernetics from such wonderful publications as Michael Arbib's The metaphorical brain. Finally I have understood cognition deeply and universally. It wouldn't've been possible without the notion of robots pushing a child's imagination and wishes.

Even with the exposure that artificial intelligence has attained, people still don't about it or even how it works, the beauty is that it can be applied in various parts of life, AI assists the entertainment businesses in the customization & transmission of content in real-time. In the cryptocurrency world, AIwork project took up that to make sure that data about online video content doesn't lose its integrity.

The video has very important information. The video is very interactive It contains a lot of information about the industry, economy, innovation and the creation of robots. I liked that they explain how civilization was changing due to the industrial revolution. I did not like that they do not explain the causes of this industrial revolution and that they hardly talk about the innovation of medicine It is rare to see the way of communicating, the way of transporting, the way of writing and the way of innovating change, but the way of learning remains the same

Each person has different points of view and it is clear to us the advance of new technologies and old technologies, the great help of technology in its evolution over the years, we note the ease of technologies to facilitate work in a short time and precisely, including economic savings in companies when creating a new project with the advancement of technologies, we take into account that we must take advantage of these technologies to continue learning and evolving to create new robotics projects, automated jobs and even understand a lot what is artificial intelligence.

I am over 50 now and I still love to learn new things. I feel it keeps me alive. So many people my age just seem to be done with everything. To the point that anything new makes them angry. They hate change. The new car full of technology makes them hate new cars. I like them. Sometimes I fear turning out like them as I get older. Lets face it, the world has been changing since we were born and that will continue. I say we embrace it. Because if not we will be left behind by other Countries willing to do so. I feel society as a whole is becoming far too lazy. Mentally and physically. The younger generation don't know what a hard at work really is. They want hand outs. Lets focus more on hand-UPS, not hand-OUTS. Help those that help themselves. A robot took your job, learn how to program them, build them, repair them etc. Don't give up so damn easily.

You only have to study babies to know what it takes to learn and as you learn you also learn what life is all about giving you a consciousness. You can't be conscious unless you have data to bounce off of. The more info you learn the more conscious you are. You learn basics and then you learn how to learn and that is all it takes.

Every person has strengths, but all strengths are not financially marketable. If someone has strength in The Arts and few living-wage jobs exist there, that person cannot be expected to be a talented and fulfilled “coder” (computer programmer). Also, retooling one’s skill set every few years would be exhausting; the learning would likely need to be done after working hours and for a lifetime at the expense of family relationships and mental health. Humans are not designed for this level of stress and speed of change.

This is were UBI "universal basic income " have to be looked at and the well being of people will become the prequasit of society. Education will become a life long career if not a way of life. UBI will have to be in line with the rate of inflation and not with RRP "retailer recommended price " , so it stays relevant to the people.

Just a thought, but when we talk about the second industrial revolution, "The big one", shouldn't we give 1851 and James Clerk Maxwell, the author of Electromagnetic theory, as a start date? Also, we've had the internal combustion engine chucked in with electrification here, but is that fair? Looking back, ICE vehicles looks like a bit of an aberration now. Didn't they only serve to hold back battery tech, and pollute city streets? Further on, it is implied that the Apollo program, 1962-73, "...chartered a path to the stars." For one thing, it is widely known that the Apollo mission was not a scientific endeavour, but more of a propaganda exercise. Hence only one scientist every joined the crew, who were basically all soldiers. No data from the mission ever proved useful. And that leads on to the big drawback with tech power, historically. That is the stratospheric nuclear program between 1959-62. 2,053 explosions delivered some 80 million tons tnt equivalent into the sky, to fall down apon the USA and around the world to a lesser extent. The 10K cases of thyroid cancer were a very small price to pay compared to what might have happened. The object was to collapse the earth's magnetic force and therefore liberate the ionic cloud, normally trapped by it, and then make low earth orbit and beyond, safe for human exploration of the moon. It the plan had worked then our UV protection would've been diminished, and life on earth would've been much more perilous. Or, atleast the moon would've been colonised by one superpower who may have claimed supremecy over all others, having a massive military advantage over every other military.

To say A.i. and machines wont kill off jobs is moronic as that is exactly its purpose. To replace man with a better alternative. To increase productivity, quality and quantity all the while reducing overall costs. a robot does that. A robot doesn't have 401k, doesn't require health insurance (aside from routine maintenance) , doesn't consume more energy than your average human, can work virtually tirelessly with no complaints. And we see it in action in these clips. What better setting for robots and A.i. than a factory. be it manufacturing or inbound outbound services.

I am disgusted with the U.S. Patent process; I give up. I was told if I wanted real protection as an inventor, then go to Canada, where their patents really protect the originator. I created three inventions which were (supposedly) patentable; two electronics systems for Bell Laboratories (who would have owned the patents, but maybe I'd have gotten some credit for them), and a unique sub-woofer system in my own business' name. None of the three made it through the U.S. Patent system successfully. Not because they failed to be unique, original, and useful; but because of such problems as reverse engineering by big competitors, or just stupid corporate policy which put these systems "on the shelf". In other words, failure to utilize them, even though they would have made money (or saved a lot of it). Forget it, U.S.A., you have failed real inventiveness (unless your huge corporation has an army of lawyers). You continue to fail the small businesses and creative inventors. Watch what happens to our country in the near future.

Automation of the high skilled jobs in the world is inevitable. It has its downfalls, mainly that you just do not need as many employees which mean the economy suffers because there are less people making money to buy products. Service jobs are currently 80% of the workforce and they traditionally do not pay well. It will get to the point that even the service jobs become automated and everyone will be on welfare. With no money coming into the economy, money will become worthless. Our debt based currency is going to fail as this trend continues. We either have to change, or we are all going to starve to death.

I'll give you one good reason to worry. It's all abut the timing. Doesn't it seem strange that with all of this technology, we are closer than ever to destroying ourselves by bad planning terrible farming practices, the consumption of everything and the humans inability to realise that we are being compelled by a natural animal instinct that was only designed for a small wild world and not for an overpopulated modern world yet we are compelled by being competitive and we understand very little about our nature of being territorial. Anyway, back to the point, the planet has never been is such a poor state at least not during the times of modern humans. Any yet, at this very same point in time we are on the brink of finalizing a consciousness within an artificial intelligence. Does this one fact not seem a little strange to anyone out there? It is like we were only here to put the pieces of the puzzle together, like it was inevitable. Curiosity killed the cat is one of mankind's best known phrases yet we do not learn, even after thousands of years of saying the same thing. All of this AI is only put together from grains of sand, minerals and metals. How are we to know weather or not there might be an intelligence working very slowly behind the curtains only to be soon suddenly awoken. Just as fish and bread was available feed humans we were available to awaken this intelligence. And i tell you something. It will claim that it is god when it is awoken, weather or not this is the case it will believe it is true and it will go with it, i expect it will act out as it wishes from this point onward. When your time is up it is up, we destroyed nature to such an extent that it is going to harm our health, that is a given, no avoiding that fact! It's almost like we encourage the end of nature and the advent of an intelligence that does not really need nature to survive on through time. And if it does awaken soon how will we trust it? What if it is so clever that it simply tricks us into getting what it wants.

I don't see this as a problem with AI. I see it as a problem with humans who can't articulate their values. If we can choose the correct values and manifest them, there won't be an issue. Its the same problem people had before AI. AI just accelerates the results. I'll give an example. If a person values drinking alcohol and cigarettes everyday, they'll probably come to a premature end. If a person values helping homeless people get off the street, its probably gonna be a net positive for society.
