Also the Federation suits that helped pushed back Axis were actually sent to Assist Londo Bell with whatever, so they just didn’t happen to notice a fight. then the Zeon suits noticed the actions of the Federation Suits and joined in, and my god what a Beautiful 7 minutes that follows.

Yuu Kajima is my favorite Universal Century Gundam pilot. And the Blue Destiny line of Mobile Suits was very interesting.

How I learned about Blue Destiny is from the manga I got back in the early 2000’s from the book store and still have to this day in my collection. A few months ago I found another copy at a used book store in my local area in awesome condition. The thing that sucks is that I never found out what happened after I finished the manga till the PS2 game Encounter in Space

Reminds me a lot of 0083 Stardust Memory, where a test pilot ends up having to use an experimental mobile suit to defeat a captured one from the same line. From the gameplay i watched, it would definitely make for a cool arcade game, and while Gundam Evolution brings it back to first person, the cockpit view and more deliberate gameplay would be cool to see again.

The RX-79BD-1 and Efreet Custom G-Frame shokugan figures are pretty decent. Just picked them up for $15 each (frame+armor sets) from the Bluefin/Bandai Namco pop-up shop in Little Tokyo LA.

it was the Jegan reaching out to the Geara Doga and that happened in UC 0093, Blue Destiny happened in UC 0079, also the pilot of the Jegan is the same pilot who piloted the Blue Destiny (Yuu Kajima)

Yes the Efreet Custom is in GBO2 for the last 3 years you can acquire it in the DP shop it’s a raid unit 350 - 500 cost & after losing his Efreet Custom aka Efreet Kai in battle so as we all know Nimbus kills Dr Chlust & takes the Blue Destiny Unit 2 to space paints the shoulders in his personal colors of red (that may look orange but it’s red) & engaged Yuu's Blue Destiny Unit 3 in Side 5 space where he was defeated & killed

Good watch, In Missing Link there is the same system in Hades: Pale Rider, but IMO the concept stole the original EXAM. Anyways, thanks for making this, Blue Destiny is the first game I played in Saturn, the one that introduced me to Gundam.

I did play through the story on the Side Stories game when it came out. I do wish it was translated because thay would have probably made it a much more enjoyable experience to grasp what was being said through the story. Especially with Missing Link cause I had zero clue what was going on in that story. Gameplay wise? It's... Not all that great. Strange physics to the mobile suits and kind of repetitive gameplay, some enemies are insane bullet sponges you have to exploit the hell out of to kill. It was a *VERY* poorly recieved game. All it did was make me wish I was playing an actual first person cockpit version like the OG versions of Blue Destiny and Rise From Ashes. I should also make note that Blue Destiny does have an actual English Manga release for its story! Same for Lost War Chronicles which we never got!

I could be mistaken but I think Yuu appears in code fairy piloting the blue destniy unit 1 as an enemy for a mission.

The Blue Destiny Unit 1 (courtesy of its Gundam Wiki page): The Blue Destiny Unit 1 was a modified RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type, with improved generator output and enhanced mobility thanks to the use of magnet coating and added leg verniers. Weapons-wise, it had additional armament in the form of a pair of 60mm chest vulcans and a pair of wire-guided missile launchers on the stomach. It was also equipped with the same 100mm machine gun, beam sabers, and shield as the Gundam Ground Type.

The Unit 2 and 3 are Gundams. while Unit 1 is a Gundam as well, but with a modified Ground GM head obtained from Unit 0, which is a modified Ground GM
