She doesn't think that she creates art, avant garde fashion, or some other highly regard things. She always gives impression that she just happen to works as designer of clothes, nothing else. I live in Tokyo and have the fortune of being able to visit Comme des Garcon stores and 2nd hand luxury shops carrying the products. The jackets and formal wear skirts/pants are especially gorgeous and amazing in person! I only wish I wasn’t allergic to wool so I could own a piece for my designer wardrobe. But I am always in awe when I see the craftsmanship and intricate asymmetrical patterns (a bit more whimsical than Yohji Yamamoto)
