I saw Beauty and the Beast on Broadway in 2004 when I was 12 bout to turn 13 and I loved it I really hope that one day it returns to Broadway one day I would actually watch it again

I saw Aladdin in 2015 and I remember it blowing me away especially the magic carpet. I intend on seeing Lion King either this summer or sometime next year

Saw Aladdin a few times and James Monroe Iglehart is absolutely fantastic as the genie. It was also super cool to have Jonathan Freeman reprise his role as Jafar.

Speaking as a performer, I kind of hate the Disney musicals - everything has to look and sound and feel EXACTLY like the movies, which for me is the opposite of what theater should be. Theater should bring out new things in a story, in the look, the atmosphere and how to play the characters. But the emphasis on the original movies is so strong that the sets and costumes have to look exactly like the movie, and the actors have to sound exactly like the movie. At least Taymor managed to do something original with the look of TLK, but every time I've seen it the actors are still trying to talk like Jeremy Irons and Nathan Lane, which ruins it for me. These musicals never find a new spin on things, which is what theater should do.
