Errors:
- In the 2004 EU elections, Civic Platform got 32,13% of the vote, not 45,38%
- In the first round of 2005 presidential elections, Donald Tusk got 36,33% of the vote, not 41,54%

Yes, but causes are not what you think. In fact, the eastern portion of Poland is now more russophobic and nationalist, they hate both Russia, Ukraine and the EU and love the US. Western portion of Poland is colonized in late 40's and so the population here is slightly more young. That's why Western Poland is more tolerant and pro-EU.

As a Hungarian it is interesting to see that in 1995 the Left Alliance won in many districts with Kwasniewski regardless if the districts was Eastern from Vistula or from Western from Vistula (I know today Western Poland was part of Prussia, later for Nazi Germany). Later this difference became even more important: 2005 election Pis received votes mostly eastern from Vistula. 2015 was the same. It is funny that Civic Platform considered today the liberal, centre-right coalition, while in past the Tusk government was also not really Lgbt friendly and was again the abortion with strong clerical policies, Pis made the same in more radical way. As I see Pis is like a paternalist, interventionalist, state-party like Fidesz in Hungary.... The only significant difference is the Ukraine policy of Fidesz and Pis.

Trochę przeszkadza odnoszenie wyników wyborów do zupełnie różnych podziałów terytorialnych (okręgów wyborczych). Poza tym przy wyborach samorządowych kompletnie nie wiadomo, czy chodzi o władze gminne, powiatowe, wojewódzkie, czy wszystkie do kupy.
