THE HISTORY OF ITALIAN PERFUME

On the occasion of Italian Cosmetics Day in Canada, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto, in collaboration with Accademia del Profumo in Milan, presented a webinar on the history of Italian perfume, broadcasting live from the Museo del Profumo in Venice, on July 28, 2021.
The webinar was an opportunity to discover the history of a unique art form that has spanned centuries and continues today and to take a live, virtual tour of the Perfume Museum at Palazzo Mocenigo, guided by the General Director of Mavive S.p.a., Marco Vidal.
Also explored were the historical developments of perfume manufacturing with Ambra Martone, President of Accademia del Profumo, who explained how Italian perfumes are still the basis of the cosmetic industry worldwide.
The presentation was presented in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), ICFF, Cosmetica Italia-the personal care association and the Perfume Museum at Palazzo Mocenigo - Venice.
