You should make a video promoting The HOF Careers of CF Kenny Lofton and CF Andrew Jones Showing Why they should be in The HOF Because both of those Men most definitely were HOF worthy And We as Real Legit Baseball Fans & Supporters should be doing our part for Guys like that , imo . For a decade + They were both some of thee funnest players to watch In the History of The Game and that’s HOF Worthy They had HOF Careers that are being forgotten because of the ends of their careers Especially Jones. Lofton was steady & consistent throughout His career Had they went out with a Pujols type bang then they’d be in the HOF already . They both were HOF’s on Defense alone But they both Hit & Ran extremely well Far above avg They were 5 Tool Players , Lofton not a great arm by any means but it was better than most people seem to think , I believe because of His skinny size & speed as well as His throwing motion makes people think He didn’t have a good arm but as a CF He had an above avg arm with great accuracy. I think Great Platforms like Yours is A Great Place to remind people of just how amazing those 2 Guys were out there on The Baseball Fields ⚾️ & I actually met Andrew and He’s Such A Cool chill guy He chilled & talked to My cousin Colin & I for over 25min after signing Baseballs for Us When He was rehabbing in Vegas for The AAA 51’s ( Whom No longer exist ) Andrew Jones came up @ 18yo & Hit a HR in The World Series (youngest ever) and was still a cool down to earth Guy over 15 years later and full of awards & all the accolades including a Ring 🏆

Josh Hamilton came the closest of anyone that hitting five home runs in one game. It was May of 2012, Elvis Andrus got on base four times and every time, Josh Hamilton drove him in with a HR. In the fifth inning of that game, Josh Hamilton hit a double off of the wall with some top spin on it. Had that ball gotten up another couple of feet, or been hitting slightly higher, that would have been the fifth home run

As a Phillies fan thank you for including Bryce here but there's no way that'll happen with how old he is and where he's at currently. I'm certain he'll get to 500 though, and who knows maybe 600 if he stays in shape and eventually turns to DHing full time. Personally I'd take 3 to 5 more Octobers after this year over breaking the all time home run record.

Buzz Arlett is the only professional player to hit 4 HR in a game twice in his career. He did it twice in 1932 when he was playing for the Baltimore Orioles (not the same Baltimore Orioles team as today, this was an unaffiliated AA minor league team in the International League, both against the Reading Phillies on June 1 and July 4, 1932.

Whats wild is that for as much an absolute freak as Bonds was, the worldwide career record for professional home runs is Sadaharu Oh in the NPB with a staggering 868. Nobody in the history of that league has ever come within 200 of him, and his personal best was 55 in a season, just a metronome of power hitting in a league not historically known for it.
@LoLotov
@LoLotov Жыл бұрын
I've always loved that record as well. For all that people want to treat japanese baseball as a quad A league, they have and had players of astronomical talent, AND seem to produce better pitchers than hitters on average. Makes their hitting records worth more in my opinion. You dont hear about career minor league/semi pro players putting up over eight hundo, and Oh definitely faced better competition than that comparison in a true professional league. Reminds me of ichiro having the professional hit record, but not the MLB record.

It's an impressive accomplishment. Shame that the NPB (including especially O himself as a manager) played dishonorably and often refused to pitch to foreign players that were close to breaking his single season record.

postseason records are a bit paradoxical aren’t they - if you do well enough to hit a ton of home runs, it actually could hurt your chances of breaking the record because you’ll play less games
@ptythefool
@ptythefool 7 ай бұрын
That's not necessarily true. More home runs doesn't mean you're winning (resulting in less games played). If you become an actual threat you're more likely to get the Bonds treatment which would result in less at bats due to intentional walks or unintentional intentional walks (being pitched around).

When Jose Altuve got 3 HR in a row in the first 3 innings i was hoping he could get the fourth (which he did not) as that would be insane though his 3 in that game did bring forth an intresting stat which was in the 9th of the last game and the 1st 3 innings here he got a Home Run which almost never happens where a guy gets 4 Home Runs in 4 consecutive innings. It is also worth noting is while he did not tie the all time record for all players he did tie the second basemen record which is 3. Also with those 3 HR in 3 innings he became the 4 player in all of MLB to do that crazy stat.

I am an Angel's fan, I could see Trout going for Judges record next season if not hurt some how since he literally hit 40 home runs, catching up to Ohtani home run record of that season with him being out for long stretches of it. I could also see many players going for home run records since we do have so many great players these days from pitchers to hitters. I could also see Ohtani being good as Trout's hitting one of these days, for me I think Trout will help him mentor or any other great baseball player if he goes to another team. Time will tell but, I really could see Trout next year for it. I am also waitting on the confirmation if Albert will be done since many big Cardinals team mates want him to stay. It was was amazing to see him reach 500 home runs and see him years now hit 700. I always thought he could do it after so many people telling me no lol. We will just see what the future holds, very much enjoyed this video, maybe one day we can finish the history debate on Barry Bonds since I do think opinions have been changing so far in his favor.

Judge hit more home runs in his rookie season than Trout did last year. The only man that’s gonna break judges record is judge. I get it that your an angels fan but let’s be realistic here. Also Trout isn’t gonna mentor Ohtani since Ohtani is literally better than him
