Excellent video! Its great to see someone cover POSTAL's modding history in such an in=depth way and we appreciate the shoutouts to our work, of course Catharsis Reborn is our main project but it's also nice to see ADIP get some attention too, it was quite a hacky project that we rushed together to commemorate POSTAL's anniversary back in the day, but it seems people are aware that we were working with a very limited toolset and so pulling off new mechanics in POSTAL 1 was quite hard to do, considering what we were working with at the time and the fact that modding POSTAL 1 is something very few in the community have attempted, it was a decent effort, there will actually be some news regarding ADIP coming very soon. The devs of Postal 3 Unreal also posted updates shortly after this video came out, showcasing some new mechanics, and we're also in the process of making a new developer blog for CR, but how soon that will be released is too early to say, its got a long list of changes though that's for sure; With developments like these and the release of xPatch 3.0 to Steam its nice to see that POSTAL modding is still alive after all these years, and you did a great job drawing attention to that history, thanks again and best of luck with your future content!

Thank you for mentioning our mod in your video. All I (VanderCold) have to say is that Controlled by Postal has grown over the years, from a mod that I could probably handle myself, to building a team and yet still struggling with the development. Most of the problems in the making of the mod are not because it is built on Postal III, but simply because, like you said, it's too ambitious. Despite that me with our team "One Man Army Studios" are making another mod that is almost finished and should come out somewhere in the Autumn or Winter. This mod has many ambitious ideas of Controlled by Postal, but they actually work like they should. Our new mod is scaled down a lot compared to the original idea of the CBP. This thing alone makes things much easier and more possible. With that, a big article will be posted on both Moddb and Vk with the propper annoucement of our new mod. This article will explain a lot of things in CBP development, who are "One Man Army Studios" and show content that was made during this perioud of silence. I personally as a lead hope that CBP will come out some day. But until then we as a team will make mods and even games that are beyond Postal. But CBP will always be a magnum opus on our journey as a dev team.

Happy night is definitely my favourite mod out there. I played a few, but not a single mod came close to the quality of happy night. It was like i was playing postal 2 for the first time again and it was an amazing experience

There's actually a secret weapon in the asylum:go the left path that leads to the first switch,then at the left,there's a path blocked by wood boxes which you can clear of with the Baseball Bat. The boxes will randomly drop something helpful for the player. Beyond the boxes is a secret room with an skeleton with two small white horns and a small music box. To enter the room with the skeleton,you must first rearrange the letters in the password next to the door(the word is Diclonius). Once the door opens and pick up the music box,the song Lilium from the anime Elfen Lied plays,along with a russian message which is in the honor of a Postal fan which was also a fan of the anime Elfen Lied. Once you stop the music box,Postal Dude gets a new weapon/ability: the Diclonius Vectors.

An interesting mod which is worth talking about but no one knows about it's existence is Steven's mod. It's basically an attempt to bring some of RPG elements to POSTAL 2, there is levels and xp system, weapon limit system, upgrades etc. A Very Postal Christmas uses weapons and hud from it. Really fun and worth checking out.

​@@Botul1I've known about this mod thanks to AVPC but only fairly recently discovered its standalone version, I even attempted porting it at some point but I gave up on it half way through, mostly because I wanted to focus on Postal 3 Unreal. Its really one of the largest but forgotten TC mods.

Really interesting video! Postal's mod scene is quite underrated. Here are some other Postal 2 mods that I believe deserves some attention: GRINGOMARKET SEQUEL - The first Gringomarket was just a plain sandbox map, but the sequel is a actually structured mod; where you're able to interact with NPCs, drive cars, buy stuff (Yessentucola, anyone?) and attack Akella and Kaspersky's offices. It even has a cameo by Not Important. A bit on the janky side, but really fun to play and explore. TROPIC - What if Paradise was located in a tropical country? This mod gives a brand new look to Paradise; including new and expanded locations, the ability to drive cars while listening to the radio, and even a brand new sandbox map to fool around. HONG KONG 2027 - It's like Hong Kong 97, but in Postal 2! Shoot and survive waves of enemies and find some cool secrets. You might even get some exclusive, brand new weapons to use on the base game (not sure if it still works though; it was a contest). You should also do a video on notable Postal 2 maps!

Yesterday, Controlled by Postal was frozen, by the developer himself. The reason: the project turned out to be too ambitious and I got bored of Postal myself. But this does not mean that the project is frozen forever, the developer can return to the project, but obviously not soon. In the meantime, all forces are invested in the mod, in the HL2 beta theme - "Get Your Free Christmas Tree "

Funny you mention the Postal iceberg video by A Buff Wizard, I actually made the iceberg that he ended up using as a basis for his (he didn't cover all of it because there were so many entries the image literally couldn't hold more, here's the original in case you're curious shorturl.at/boEGN ), and we became friends while I helped him make his video. You can even find me credited in the description of his video, and that video caused my previous big Postal video to jump from 2k views to 12k views in around a month (it's been slowly rising since then, 16k now). I've thought about making a video where I cover the things he didn't cover, but I think that would be stepping on his toes a bit.

I don't know how you can take Eternal Damnation seriously, it's an awful mod with terrible level design and painfully boring gameplay, the only redeeming quality is the cringy and stupid writing, which combined with non-existing acting skills of the VA's, creates unintentional comedy gold.

I personally perfer the 1.13 fan patch over the p3 improvement mod since it keeps the game vanilla unlike the improvement mod that is pretty close to a beta mod pack and also it fixes a lot of bugs like loading screens not working and other stuff
