I don’t need a full WWE theme park, but they could turn that old Disneyquest building into a physical WWE hall of fame with some attractions similar to Disney Quest

I went there in 2008 to a taping of Impact. There I noticed two men, one large both tall and heavy(wore a hat and basketball jersey) and a smaller guy who would always be shouting and chanting while queuing outside the impact zone. I would later see these two on tv multiple times when watching impact. Do you know them? How are they? And do they still attend TNA events now outside of Universal?

Man, I didn't realise my 2 passions ran so deep! This was so interesting, thank you! I myself watched a taping of TNA at Universal back in 2012. I also visited the Niagara Falls WWE store after WrestleMania 23 in 2007. I didn't even know the store existed until I was looking at the little pamphlets they had in the hotel and saw the store. The piledriver was unfortunately closed for the winter but the store was super cool and had the same 'hand in concrete' thing going on, on the outside of the store! Walked out with a kids size WWE Championship!

At one time there was a rumor that the WWE was going to take over the NBA Restaurant at CityWalk to be a themed restaurant and hold the Hall of Fame. I think having a theme experience like this would be better than a theme park. CityWalk or Disney Springs would be a great home for it.

Unfortunately that set up wound up in Saudi fucking Arabia. The international shows last year in Europe and Australia had absolutely amazing crowds, with the exception of crown jewel and king of the ring. All the Saudi shows are duds, not just in the quality of the matches but the absolute lack of any atmosphere that is obvious just watching it

The 1993 Disney tapings were a mess as WCW decided to film three MONTHS of TV shows in one weekend. They gave away scores of storylines, who'd win belts, etc, shattered the illusion for fans. And issues like guys legit injured or leaving the company to mess it up more.

I read so much about the hassle it had become, but due to the severe lack of footage/photos from the tapings, it was kind of hard to cover a lot of that 😂😂 but… it’s clear they nailed down the format 20 years later with TNA.. sorta 😂 thank you so much for watching 🙏

@@Anynom I remember watching another video about the Disney tapings and that's how I learned about how hectic their shooting schedule was. Whatcha gonna do, brother, when the history of pro wrestling in Disney World runs wild on you?! Let me tell ya somethin’, Ryan-your video was too sweet! I was hooked from start to finish, dude. The way you laid out the story with all the drama and the magic? It was like a tag-team match between nostalgia and knowledge, and you came out on top like a true champ, brother. Keep body-slamming those stories and dropping those elbow drops of history on us, because the Hulkamaniacs are lovin’ it, brother! I remember meeting you in Epcot about a year ago during one of the festivals. We talked about this idea you had for a video about this history of wrestling at Disney World. I was really looking forward to it and was hoping you hadn’t forgotten about it. It fills my heart with joy to see you made it. You did the history of wrestling at Disney World justice!

This is a weird little caveat in both wrestling and theme parks, but there really isn’t a lot of information like this compiled about it. Thank you! Mick Foley is well known for being a big theme park fan. The segment was part of a storyline at the time where Triple H “created” those segments in order to mock Mick Foley as they were feuding at the time. There was a series of those vignettes where a fake Mankind who was played by Dennis Knight ( aka Mideon and Phineas Godwin) kept basically embarrassing himself in various situations.

Dude, imagine a wrestling theme park! So many opportunities. A drop tower themed after Randy Orton where you get RKOed at the top. OR a Coaster themed to Stone Cold where the bottle breaks at the top before you go plummeting down. Okay, last one...A character dining experience where you get to see actors reinact the infamous Stone Cold Booker T supermarket showdown. THIS STUFF WRITES ITSELF. I also considered a Rock's kitchen where you can smell what the Rock is cookin...and try one of those pies he was always talking about 😅 ....As always, great video 😁

May 15, 2005. My sister, my then brother in law and I saw TNA Hard Justice at Universal Studios. Because I worked at SeaWorld Orlando I got in for free and we had a normal theme park experience before the show with only two exceptions: we met Jimmy Hart out in the park, and we saw Shark Boy and his tag partner "harassing the shark" by Jaws The Ride for a segment. And TNA minority owner Jeff Jarrett and TNA head writer Vince Russo were there too. The show was pretty good too in my opinion, with AJ Styles beating Jarrett for the NWA Championship with Tito Ortiz as the guest referee.

There was technically another promotion that was taped at Universal called All Wheels Wrestling. However, it was really TNA production as part pf a collaboration with the Speed Channel to create a motorsports-themed wrestling show. It lasted for just an unaired pilot that can be found on Dailymotion. Also, a dark ride that follows the story of a falls count anywhere match would be an interesting wrestling ride.

Excellent video! Really enjoyed that. Being a coaster fan (obviously) and a pro wrestling fan, great you did a very big dive! Just a small section will do for wrestling, and the HOF somewhere. Though the current wwe performance center is not far away

I think the Nitro Grill was upstairs at Excalibur. The Dick’s Last Resort is where the sportsbook used to be. Great video

First of all, as a massive wrestling fan and theme park goer, thank you for this video! It's so weird, all these years later, I didn't know a few of these tidbits, so crazy!! Yes sir, I'm a dork who would most definitely go to a WWE themes park 😅!

i went to a wcw pro taping at mgm. I wascsuch a big wrestling fan but wcw merch was hard to find ehere i lived. Somehow i ended up with a Sting hat and wore it for years. Also, Eric Bischoff would explaun tonthe kids who the characters were in-between matches. Thats how the audience knew who to cheer. I vivdly remember him telling us to boo Michael Wallstreet and gave us something to chant at him. Good memories.

It's stupid how much I miss AEW Dark. There was something so charming about how the crowd would always get into it for the more comedic acts like Chaos Project or Orange Cassidy, and you weren't limited to seeing the same handful of people in the ring every week like with the TV shows.

I agree! I do wish more main roaster stuff trickled down or was at least feeling “Cannon” to the main shows, but it was super entertaining for sure! Thank you so much for watching🙏

I remember when I went on holiday to Orlando mid/late April 2011 from the UK with Thomas Cook (holiday operator). Thomas cook had a deal/partnership where for $50 you got to go see TNA impact & $20/25 off voucher for NASCAR Cafe that was at city walk at the time with so much going to charity. The taping was on 02/05/2011 (being shown 05/05/2011). We were told met up at the NASCAR cafe to then walk straight into the sound stage (jumping the queue) and all sat together on the bleachers behind the ring in view of the cameras. We could go down to the floor with the hardcore fans but I chose to stay for better view. Also was the day Osama bin laden was declared dead so memorable.
