Whatever his personal life, there’s no denying that George Michael was an incredibly talented artist. He was a pop idol who brought so many singles to no.1 and then moved onto ballads and covers from some of the world’s top artists. He was an icon and had the most beautiful voice and produced some wonderful albums. He may have been a victim of mass media and passed away too soon but his name and amazing music will live on. I saw this title and wanted to comment. I knew someone in the early 2000s who was one of MIchael's sound people. He had a private plane for his entire crew; none of them flew coach. He paid them very well, treated them well - I got to see him (comp tickets from my friend) not long before he died. His show was fabulous- he voice was still strong and he performed 100%. I cried when I heard he died because he was one of the Good ones; he was always lovely, courteous, smiling - even though those who didn't know him exposed some embarrassing moments of his that would have destroyed most people, he did his best to answer journalists' and talk show hosts' questions about his personal life, never getting angry or acting defensive. He just grinned and bore it with a lovely smile. I won't watch this video. I really don't want to dig into more dirt than I know about him. George Michael was one of the greatest artist ever. Such an amazing voice, writer and producer. Imagine going from Wham to the album Older which is in my view one of the best albums ever. His sex life should never have been made anyones business, and George unfortunately spend to much of his life trying to explain himselves, what the press and people should have been told was to fuck off, listen to the music or not, but some just get obsessed with the drama. Gone way to soon, thats for sure.
@edwardcapobianco29757 ай бұрын
Please keep your opinion to yourself because If you think Wham made one of the greatest album ever then you know nothing about music. Wham was weak, anemic and musically bankrupt . 80s trash

@edward - showing your ignorance. You obviously didn’t understand the comment. He said going from Wham to his album Older which was a solo album and a masterpiece in my opinion. You obviously don’t know his music yet you think you can judge him on it and tell others to keep their opinions to themselves. Listen to your own advice!

No one’s sex life is anyone else’s business. Period. He was a good, loyal friend, a loving child and sibling. He was also the beautiful soul who donated millions to charity, quietly and without any fanfare. Such a loss to the world. RIP George. ❤

Then at this particular Club … I think called BROWNS …. IN there I found myself sitting almost next to him just one other person sat between George Michael and myself! Wow I was surprise … I honour the brief moment I shared that night with my boyfriend and hid friends , I was very young then. He is very special still to me and my mother. I was very lucky . I am Colombian living here in uk London .thank you for this beautiful presentation.

I knew him personally and can say I never disliked anyone more. He was a narcissistic bully. One of his favourite pastimes was outwardly shaming women. He did it because he could, because he was a star. He'd make a nasty comment about someone, then look to his friends to share the laugh. George Michael could be extremely vicious and hateful. Andrew, on the other hand, was a gentleman. Kind, generous and sweet, Andrew was forever trying to be his best self.

@@jamesdean1143 I first met George Michael at a party. Delighted to see a long missed old friend (also named George) I laughed and waved with happiness calling "George! George!" out to him. Initally I didn't see GM, who thought I was some sort of silly Wham fan girl and sneering, mimicked my 'George George' in a loud high pitched childish voice, getting all his hangers on to laugh at me. My friend George came to hug me and said loudly "Ignore him (GM) he thinks he's special." When GM heard this and realised I was referring to a different George, he turned red with embarrassment. He automatically hated me on sight. Because we moved in the same circles, I saw GM frequently and he was always nastily cruel to me. It was childish. His sister was always lovely, as was his close friend (and pretend girlfriend) Pat. Shirley of Wham was nice but aloof with shyness, and Pepsi of Wham was genuinely the sweetest person I'd ever met.
