Absolutely love the original big winged eagle on blue that Vince presented to stone cold after wm14. Gold scratch version that Rock won at ss98 was bad ass as well. First belt I ever bought actually was the blue strap.

the rock is definitely the right answer. when you examine the biggest storylines of this belt’s lifespan, the rock was almost always involved in most of the storylines 98-99: rise and fall of the corporation (corporate champ vs austin) 99-00: rise and fall of the mcmahon helmsley regime (peoples champ vs triple h) 2001: end of the attitude era with two of its greatest stars battling in the grandest stage for the ultimate prize (wm 17) the only reason rock wasn’t involved in 2002’s undisputed title battle at wm 18 is because he had a once in a lifetime classic against hollywood hogan in toronto. a match that kicked off the rebirth of hulkamania and sowed the seeds for rock’s epic heel run as hollywood rock in 03

The First Big Eagle belt with the old school wwf block logo and blue strap was the best wwf/wwe world championship title belt EVER made in my opinion. Don't get me wrong the screaming eagle belt was better to the degree in design, but not in size scaling than the Big Eagle was, so by default, I give the edge to Big Eagle. The blue strap and size put it over for me.

The reason why the Belt was redesigned after only a few months, is because one night Vince took a stone cold stunner and the belt actually cut him really badly. So WWF told the makers to smooth out some of the sharper points in the belt and change it to the scratch logo!
