OK video, but I think your trying to hard to be funny. Sorry. Seems like a bit of a knock-off of Donuts Media's "Up to Speed" series.

I lived in Japan in the late 60's, drove both the S600 and S800, thanks for your video, brought back some great memories. Would love to have the S2000, maybe someday.

love seeing the S2000 history, I've had mine for a few years now, an AP1, love it! I've been driving it less since I've gotten my new Type R though.

Being an owner of 2 previous Si's (EM1 & FG2) and now, a 10th gen Si, I have to say I do not miss Vtec. Yes, winding out my FG2 to 9K was very fun, but having a turbo in the 10th gen makes up for all the torque I never had and we all know torque is what moves cars....Awesome vid man, I am about to buy an AP2 CR! rumors are the s2k is coming back?

One of my favorite cars to drive is the Honda S2000. Underpowered? Yes. But you don’t need a super powered car to have fun on the streets. Perfect shifter. Try driving with the top down on a nice day or attack the twisty mountains. Hits the spot in any occasion. I even included my s2k into my engagement photo shoot many years ago : )

Technically there were no 1999 models, anything built in 1999 was designated a MY2000, so AP1 model years are 2000-2003. One negative for the AP2 was the lower redline required a second shift into 3rd gear to hit 60mph, which slowed down the 0-60 time by a few tenths of a second. Funny that this car was featured on "Torque Junkies" since the S2000 is known for not having any torque.

Keep at it though and you'll one day have a million subscribers, and eventually maybe even a billion. (lol) hehehehe

what a joke! you have no idea why Honda came out with the S2000 and what their inspiration was? it was during their F1 heyday and CART (Indy) from the 80s and 90s. here's a little insider tip. blown up photo they had as an inspiration during development of the S2000 was the top view of Ayrton Senna MP4/4. they wanted the feeling of an "open wheel single seater" which you get behind the wheel of an S2000 from the seat position, steering wheel, driver door panel and transmission tunnel, even down to rev counter, just look at the onboards of Senna in a mclaren/honda during that time. we also owe the high redline in their road cars and VTEC kicked in yo! to their F1 program, without it there would be no VTEC. it has nothing to do with their bikes, that's what car journalist during the release of the car was spewing. Honda wanted to give you an open wheel car experience (F1) for the street. you can't get a high treble pitch in a 6cyliner and there was no way for them to use a V10 or V12 in mid $30k car, but you could in a 4 cylinder. here's a little Easter egg. everyone Google Ferrari F1 engineer and Honda S2000. if rehash drivel like this starts spewing out I may need to get a camera and start my own YT channel for the S2000. and stop driveling drifting and S2000, the S2000 is a sports car, it's just as bad as when people drag race their S. the S is not a drag car or drift car, if you want to drift or drag there are better cars to be had.

Horrible editing. I see you reading off a paper after every hard cut. And the random clips of the car drifting are annoying especially since these cars aren’t made to drift.

How do you feel stealing pictures from Motor Trend and put it as backgrounds and copying Up to Speed videos, with information that can literally be looked up on google in 10 seconds? KZbinrs nowadays will do anything to make money out of their videos. Lastly, don’t try to be funny because you are not funny at all.

FYI 50/50 weight distribution is absolutely terrible for drifting cars, and the S2000 is as well a terrible drift car. Way to fail at ripping off Donut Media.
