Ayrton very nearly won this race on another 2 occasions meaning he just missed out on winning it 8 times out of nine visits. Quite unbelievable that. Also for a period of 11 years this race was only ever won by two drivers, Senna and prost.

The title is misleading. This is definitely NOT a history of the Monaco Grand Prix. Doing a history video of this race means telling the story of its past. What year it started, some of its famous winners, or maybe the advance of technology over the years, Where are the video clips of some of the old races from years gone by? There is SO much history and pageantry behind this race, yet this video tells none of it. Very disappointing.

The slight alterations to the Tabac corner and the 2nd swimming pool chicane only shortened the lap length by 3 metres, so it doesn't really make a difference, and therefore, I still regard the fastest lap of the 2004 race as the lap record.

So drivers can simply win by "hogging the middle of the road" but then right after that the lady outlines all of the spots where drivers can overtake LOLLL. You can't have it both ways sugar. It's remarkable how these Brits are sour over how many times Mansell lost to Senna over the years with Monaco 92 and Jerez 86 being just a few of them.
