The gates are open for Spinosaurus to return because we don't actually know what became of Isla Sorna which is where it lived. Only Isla Nublar is mention today.

FoxyRockies in fallen kingdom they mentioned that Blue is the last raptor, so that got me thinking about the other raptors on isla Sorna. So its slightly possible that they've killed all the dinos on Sorna. Maybe unlikely but still, if it did happened then the Spino is likely dead

Jacob Geshel I’m sorry but you’re incorrect. At least I couldn’t find anything in their mentioning of Sorna that says it deserted or all the dinosaurs died. All that is said is a few general mentions of the experiments that included Sorna, and one mention of how masrani Corp abandoned the animals on Nublar and Sorna. In fact there is no mention on the actual fate of the Dinos on Sorna, only that they were abandoned, just like the Dino’s on nublar were, only being abandoned was only a problem because of the volcano, which Sorna doesn’t have.

Spino was supposed to be added in jw fallen kingdom and completely get destroyed by rexy so that's enough info to tell that if spino is gonna be in the future movie it won't have a good time. They tried to introduce a new bigger predator but nobody liked it so they stopped. They added indom but didn't have it kill a rex though she could. She could kill a spino too any day.

according to the jp3 script that it's actually adult trex and they used the same animatronics trex from the lost world to put in jp3 but they changed it to a different color and it's still remaining as an adult trex. juvenile Rex or subadult Rex is a fan theory. What about this: While the evacuation is taking place, scene cuts to Isla Sorna. The cast walks around to find more dino to rescue. They come across the skeleton of a t rex (from JP3) near a crashed aircraft. Then birds from the trees flew seemingly spooked by something. What they didn't know was the spinosaurus just staring from behind them. Lol just a thought.

I believe everyone's favorite monster hybrid spinosaurus is still alive and is unknown of the location, my theory is that when the bombing of isla sorna started the spinosaurus felt the vibrations in the ground and started running towards the opposite side of the island going into the ocean diving down so it would be unnoticed then swimming to one of the other islands (except isla nublar) where it finds a new environment to live in, and nobody tell me that spinosaurus couldn't swim that far, since spinosaurus was more crocadilian like with its relatives like the baryonyx and suchomimmus being more croc like, crocodiles and alligators could swim many miles away from where they usually live, the maximum distance of a certain crocodile was 600 miles away from its native environment, so I believe spinosaurus is still alive and on another island where it will soon be discovered and brought back to the mainland in jw3

Personally i liked the Spino as i grew up a big dino fan and always thought the T-rex was the biggest and baddest, and to see it get killed by the Spino holding it with its jaws and using its arms to snap its neck was cool. I would love to see it return as a threat in a jurassic world movie. From what i heard they're supposed to be taking the dinos off nublar and going to sorna but then they get bamboozled, maybe in the next movie they go see how the dinos are doing and run into the Spino who they didn't know existed on that island. All i know is i would love to see this big red badass reappear.

What I would find very interesting is if they used the Carnotaurus as an antagonist for the next jurrasic world movie. It is both very intimidating and fast. It was able to run at aprox. 40 km/h, which is insane for a creature of it's stature. I think fans of the series would really appreciate the use of the Carnotaurus, since it's iconic and fierce. I have never read the book, but I love how Wu and Grant were arguing over the species of raptor and how the scientists wasn’t really paying attention to what dinosaurs they were specifically creating and this was because they were really in a rush to create live entertainment park and were making these mistakes. It gives a realistic feel and shows how as smart as they were to create he technology they weren’t really thinking of what they were really creating and dangers involved

It is clearly shown to be much more intelligent than the rex, plus it is shown to also perfectly withstand a rex biting onto it's neck and ragdolling it around without taking a scratch. Now here comes the argument "But that rex wasn't full grown" - well, it actually was. It wasn't as big as Rexy but it's bite force should be just slightly weaker but still capable of breaking bone easily just like any rex would. Seeing how this rex did almost nothing to damage the spinosaurus despite dragging it by the neck for a good 20-30 seconds I don't believe good 'ol Rexy would be any better against it. Also I believe that JP spinosaurus was stated to have an even stronger bite force than a rex, though I'm not certain if that information is correct. To be honest I'm not sure that thing can even be called a spinosaurus, it's more like a monster mash of several dinosaurs, created to specifically be nigh unkillable.

The only reason some of the raptors had quills was because before filming the 3rd movie, paleontologists discovered that velociraptor had feathers. Stan Winston discusses it in the special features for the film.

I once saw a documentary where palaeontologists theorised that the Spinosaurus and a relative of the T-Rex, known as Carcaradontosaurus (don't know if I spelled it right) may have been rival apex predators that invaded each other's hunting grounds now and then. Though in the same documentary it stated that Spinosaurus was likely a fish feeder and stayed near rivers waiting for prey to swim nearby.

Besides the fact that the jaw structure of Spinosaurus is actually the strongest of animal life today by comparison. At around 5000 lbs per square inch, the Nile Crocodile tops the list for bite force today followed by other Crocodilians, outclassing Hippopotamus and even Hyenas. T-Rex was powerful but Spinosaurus had greater natural jaw strength.

Spinosaurus's lifestyle didn't require it having strong jaws, only a tight bite to allow it to get a good grip on huge fish. Tyrannosaurus rex, on the other hand, hunted much larger animals and had a generally more aggressive life of constant competition, so it is only natural for it being tankier than the spino. Don't get me wrong, I ain't a rex fanboy, I ain't even taking a side at all. I personally still like the spinosaurus as an animal way better than T. rex, but these are just facts that cannot be denied no matter how much we like one over the other. Spinosaurus was a graceful animal, most likely avoiding physical combat at all and instead competed through displays of power like a lot of modern day animals do.

My only point was that it shouldn’t be too hard for people to grasp the concept of its jaw strength. That same jaw structure proves to be the strongest today, so there is no need for the Spinosaurus to be a hybrid as an explanation. It is a great theory, but just that. As for the lifestyles of both the Spino and the T-Rex, scientists are still in debate about both. Many still consider the T-Rex to be a scavenger, not requiring much strength or aggression at all. The Spino has been presented as a rival to Carcharadontosaurus and would often get into confrontation. I am not picking a side either. Just presenting a point for those who make the argument about a long jaw being highly inferior to that of a shorter, lock jaw.

Daniel Kleinman Almost no one believes T Rex was a scavenger anymore. It was disproven when they found a Trex tooth lodged in the tail bone of an Edmontosaurus which managed to escape the massive jaws of the creature. Tyrannosaurus is much bulkier and stronger than Spinosaurus that is a fact wether you like it or not.

MC Taipan actually I believe the height is what makes the Spinosaurus so infamous other than its bloodthirsty attitude, the Spinosaurus is not only remembered as the 'one who killed the Tyrannosaurus' but also as the one who was bigger the the largest carnivore in Dinosaur movie history. It's size is not only a good plot device but something it is remembered for! I suppose a smaller Spinosaur would still be terrifying as it may be able to follow the characters more effectively but that's sort of the raptor's thing and if it was able to chase them more effectively people would probably get just get bored. But with it being huge it's still terrifying, it's still fast but by it being big and not being able to follow them into say a building it not only gives other dinosaurs a chance to attack or hunt the characters but it also gives off a false sense of security, as if the biggest threat is gone what else could go wrong and then BAM raptors I over analysed your comment and over did this response but I am a nerd damn it! heroman588 Size mainly... Aegypticus at this point is rather well known from the fossils to be close to 45 feet long, while Oxalaia is only known from three freakishly narrow, but strong jaw fossils. Oxalaia was probably around 35 feet at best, but with longer and narrower snouts, and therefore, a different sail shape. It also has only been found in Brazil, while Aegypticus is by name, from Egypt. Assuming that the two dinosaurs are also from the same time period, they would have lived on what paleontologists refer to as "the Pangaea land divide", meaning how the continents broke apart after the fact. Since Oxalaia isn't as well known, it's my dream to be able to go to Brazil and hopefully find more of the species-specific fossil record... and finding other people who like the dinosaur as well is an added bonus... but that's really the only differences.
