I wonder why Hasbro won't bring the old wwf line with all the missing Legends. There are so many collectors all around the world

I was 34 when Mattel started putting these out and I will tell youI didn't care how old I was I went and pulled out my old box from childhood and I resumed my figure fed after almost 15 years. I hope they continue this line but the only problem I think is it's only really catered to the old guys like us who grew up with the Hasbro's. so the market is smaller and honestly a lot of people from back then don't even watch wrestling anymore because they can't take the terrible product. I think the line might be doomed. Kids up today did not go up with the Hasbro so they're not going to get into the retros unless they had a parent that taught them about Hasbro. Either way what a great review. I do have a question. Did Mattel just reuse old Hasbro parts for this line?

Thanks man. I’m 32 and same thing- grew up on loving hasbros and was so stocked about Mattel retros but sadly last year the line died. I hope they come back eventually. As for the parts they were all new molds by mattel to resemble the hasbro ones!

Not at the moment, but I am very confident they will return. Mattel is very good at reviving all of the old cancelled lines that collectors loved- legends, defining moments, entrance greats, network spotlight, etc.

Is it better to leave the original hasbro ring...with every piece/sticker...no matter how worn and torn, or clean it up and get repro stickers...i.e. from hasbromaniacs? How would the collectibility be effectted? Also, if a hasbro figure has some wear, will touching it up decrease the value/collectibility?

Hey man. Honestly it depends on intentions. I have no issue with refurbishing one myself but it does lower the value as does repainting and touching up. Many collectors won’t purchase refurbs but will pay more money for originals or mint figures

I’d love it if they jump started the revived line with NWO and DX or maybe do retro versions of other lines such as Galoob series 1 or LJN series 1. The whole concept is to bring different eras alongside the original Hasbro line. At least keep each series within a theme/era and you’d probably get some interesting releases that would normally look out of place otherwise

excellent I just recently got junk Yard dog set me back $40 now all I need is Roman reigns and my set will be complete I don't want to drop that hundred plus dollars for him hopefully I'll be able to make a trade Another thing did you notice how the age range on the cards kept on changing I really wish they would have just stuck with 1999 and back with this line Shinsky Nakamura is the only one that has the double jointed kick vs. The straight kick the rest of the guys got At the end of the day in my opinion the WWE retro Mattel lineup was for us adult collector's

Which mold is your favorite? And which one do you like least? My favorite mold is "Pop Up PowerBomb", because I can better appreciate the figure. And the mold that I detest, is "Pedrigree", the ones that jump. Ugly position, the relief on his back makes him look strange.

Awesome question. I think my favorite is the punch which is why I wish they had more figures with it. The worst is definitely the jumpers!

It's so hard to find Roman Reigns mint on card. Even the OtterBoxes are generally over $100. And I got a family I can't really justify that kind of money. And yet I feel so strongly that I need to finish the collection that I imagine I would buy them eventually if I can find them

I almost sold someone my series 1 collection for $70. They backed out, I put the figures back on my book case. Last month I figured out that I have the rare RR and bought my ringside collectible cases instantly. I'm so glad the person dropped the deal.
