Loved the vid, just wanted to tell some unknown lore people dont notice Harpies Pet Phantasmal Dragon. Most people dont know but its effects are based on ninja master shogun equipped with great kite of ninja. Mai battled jean claude magnum in battle city and he used this against her. The ninja while equipped made it immune to attacks, and could attack directly by tributing 1 ninja monster. Phantasmal detatches instead of tributing each turn, makes all harpies immune to attacks and targeting, and can attack directly itself. Phantom Gryphon may have influenced Phantasmals name. Maybe we get some gryphon extra deck monster in the future? Harpies Pet Gryphon?

Gasp! Thats makes so much sense! I saw that episode the other day. She couldn't attack his ninja and the ninja could attack directly by tributing 1 ninja monster. Hence, Phantasmal attacking directly, making Harpies be immune to attacks and targeting, and detaching a harpie material at the end phase. Makes so much sense. Even more sense that Phantasmal Dragon IS the great kite of ninja thats being "flown" by the chain Harpie Channeler is holding. Omg. I prefer Mirage over Phantasmal though. Haprie's Pet Mirage Dragon Harpies Pet Gryphon sounds awesome! I always wanted the Amazoness to have more animals other than Tiger. Like, amazoness pet bear, lion, or black panther. So Harpies having a gryphon makes sense because the Harpies and Gryphons are archetype rivals fighting over hunting grounds. Maybe the story goes that the Harpie Ladies captured one of these gryphons and now own it as a pet, Harpie's Pet Gryphon. I can totally see Harpie Lady riding Phantom Gryphon or Pet Dragon. Harpie Lady, the dragon/gryphon knight? Yo! I'm so excited! ^_^

Harpie Lady Scratch Clash Level 8 WIND Winged Beast Synchro Effect Monster 2600 ATK / 1400 DEF 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters -For this card's Synchro Summon, you can treat 1 "Harpie" Normal Monster you control as a Tuner. -You can only use this card name's (2) effect once per turn. (1) This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" while on the field or in the GY. (2) When Spell/Trap Card or effect is activated (Quick Effect): You can target 1 monster your opponent controls or 1 "Harpie" monster you control; return it to the hand. please take the translation with a grain if salt. but it seems pretty consistent across multiple postings. she will turn this archetype on it's head.

I have to disagree with your comments against Channeler, her secondary effect is brilliant in my opinion, using her first effect you can special summon pet dragon from your deck, boom, you've got 2 level 7 monsters on the field, go wild with those cards that require a level 5 or higher harpie, or xyz summon into red-eyes flare metal dragon or preferably mecha-phantom beast dracossack, use its ability to spawn 2 tokens which can then be used to link summon greatfly for a WIND 500 atk boost or harpie conductor, realistically your only ever going to use channeler and pet dragon to xyz summon and nothing else. A rank 7 harpie xyz would be a brilliant addition 'Harpie Huntress' would be a cool name lol

harpie lady sisters isn't as useless as you make it out to be. First, it IS true that harpie sisters used to be a dead draw most of the time, however after channeler was released it became a lot more viable because it could also be used as discard fodder for her effect. It also comes in handy if you want to normal summon pet dragon and you have 1 or 2 elegant egotists in hand. I also disagree with your view that baby dragon isn't a good card. I've played this archetype since 2002 and its very easy to summon 3 harpies in one turn for its effect. My final point is about phoenix formation, Hysteric party can be used to completely bypass its summoning restrictions because summoning from the grave is not affected by them. There were a few other things you missed that I only know because I've played this deck for so long lol but overall a great video :)

I used to use Dragon shield to protect Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon too, I always thought he was a great card!

Sisters are trash and baby can screw your rank 4 plays. Overall you can run it at one but it does nothing for you when u draw it, nor when you summon it from channeler bc u cant go into rank 7 plays. You have to cheat it out with alluring mirror split but it's really not worth of playing so many dead cards

Nice review. However, gotta clear up a few details. 1) Harpie Channeler was made in the XYZ era, coinciding with the release of rank 7 monsters like Mech phantom beast, Dracosack. The idea was to use her to bring out Pet and overlay into rank 7's or a link 2. Considering that Simorgh is run in Harpies now, that's not too big of an issue. So nowadays, just activate the feather rest card between summoning pet and using it to overlay 2) Yes. Hunting ground has bizarre writing. Probably why a ton of their spells and traps have "destroyed by effect" clauses. 3) They just revealed a Harpie Synchro monster... we're gonna unpack some stuff when that comes out, specifically that Harpies are more Xyz focused than Synchro. 4) If Gryphon feather duster was a quickplay, it would have seen some fun in artifact... if only.

@@DeltaShinyZeta Yeah, the rank 7 one was the main point I was thinking throughout the video. Whilst Phantasmal dragon is good, Harpies also have access to Lightning Chidori and Zerofyne due to being wind and winged beasts.

I have harpies feather duster I think it's Ludacris it's ban because the harpies ladies never get no justice so what if it destroys spells that's pretty good you have some cards out there are powerful out their own the effects are very strong so that's not right that's really unfair that's why I'm not doing a tournament ever because the rules are too ridiculous I would love a virtual reality table to be made so the monsters can pop out and attack each other like the show it can be made and possible

My favorite cards in the world always misunderstood always called week always yes you do always power up one harpie lady but now they can't say that too because they are being made even more new harpies are being made and they have more support now and I'm glad they have some decks finally instead of being scattered in other it took me forever almost to complete the first part of the deck now now they have some decks finally I love them

Bro. Im just going to make a Gryphon deck to prove this guy wrong with Gryphon's Feather Duster with spells and traps that trigger when destroyed like Dark Coffin and the like. Though i sort of already have a deck like that centered around Gear Town and Ancient Gear Galdgitron Dragon and Magical Hats.

19:12 yeah…about Harpies Cyber Shield! It Really Should’ve Debuted Back in Early Yugioh! Especially in a Premium Pack, Tournament Pack or as Part of a Macdonald’s Pack! But it Didn’t! We Did Not get this Damn Card Till LATE 5DS era YUGIOH!! It’s Downright insane for a Card with a Decent Atk! Sure 500 Atk may not sound decent! Before Before Spell Ruler! This Would’ve Made Harpies Stack to a Strong 1800 and Harpies’ Sisters to 2400. Sure, Ax of Despair, Mage Power, United we Stand, and Megamorph are WAY STRONGER, same for maleviolent nuzzler. Only Problem was, that the Majority of the Cards I Listed Were ULTRA RARE CARDS! You had to dig out of Pocket and Comb through Packs as kid playing Yugioh! You couldn’t Get 200 Dollars Unless you were Filthy Sticking RiCH!

1000 iq play though use channeler to special summon pet dragon than xyz some big dumb rank 7 monster. I usually bring out Big Eye to steal their most threatening creature. So gryphon is a bad card despite being a 2000 beat stick that doesn't need tributes? In the video games you always talk about how good weaker beat sticks are tho like vorse rader, sabersaurus, gemini elf, and 7 colored fish. So I would say it should be very good especially if it's on the field with harpie lady 1 or harpie's hunting ground since it gets boosted.

Well this Archetype Review series discusses more so meta formats at the time of each of the cards' release. And so the year that Phantom Gryphon came out, a vanilla 2000 beatstick would be considered "bad" at the time of its release. In general, it is a solid card for rogue or casual play because of its high stats :)

This Review is outdated given what's happened now. We got a new extra deck monster, a retrain of Pet Dragon that's better and can special summon itself and feather duster is limited to 1.

Never ever will I go in a tournament because what's the point they banning the good cards they are real so why is it a problem because they too powerful but you have monster out there with incredibly strong effects and power so every car needs a power up I like a challenge it's a waste of time if it's not

But thanks for explaining the harpie ladies because they always have no justice they always be called weak and misunderstoodand the most powerful spell card harpies feather duster is banned from the tournament what is the point of going to a tournament without a challenge . powerfully monsters out there with the strong effects so how are your monsters going to go against that if your opponent's monsters power levels are power effects are stronger you are going to die because you have no support Harpie feather duster it will be a good support because the spell cards will be wiped off the field because if those strong monsters get any stronger your done

And the reason why I think they did it that way because the card destroys spell cards but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice that card because it doesn't say it that's why I really think the game need to fix that play Yu-Gi-Oh game on your phone

I think you made a mistake on hunting ground read it again not trying to be mean but harpies ladies hunting ground clearly says the player who conducted the summon targets one spell or trap on the field the player destroys that Target I think it's talking about if you summon the card and do the effects you can destroy any spell card or trap card that means you can destroy their spell cards and trap cards not yours I think they made a big mistake on this card because if that was the case it would have told you on the card you have to destroy the spell card you summoned because it's saying destroy the target you are not the target yeah because I play the game and I be like how the heck that card be destroyed when it doesn't even say that yeah they made a mistake on the video game on the phone as well because every time the effect of harpies hunting ground activates it has to destroy a spell card that's why it makes the card be destroyed which it don't make sense yeah I think they made a mistake
