I mean there's the fluffal episode where alex could never get the proper setup to otk because of volcanic reload. Also that one with the ritual monster that had protection in a field spell and was destroyed by skill drain normal summon 3k beat stick. Cubic having zero protection (mostly cimo's fault for not reading his cards) I'm sure there's more but off the top of my head that's what I can think of.

Maybe letting Alex's protagonist powers interact with one of the most blatantly Anime cards in all of Yugioh's history with Rank Up Topdeck: The Seventh One had a logical outcome of "He'd draw it turn two." Edit: Alex really shouldn't have got blinded by Masquerade hype. He'd have had a much better chance of surviving if he made Silent Honour Dark as that can loop itself and absorb the second Reborn Tengu.

Personally, I also would have gone into Masquerade to pop the backrow, then normal summon Scepter, add, attack the Tengu, activate Maxx C, since I have two, draw 1, attack the second tengu, draw again and there's a Tengu left, but I drew 2 cards off Maxx C and I have Masquerade to put pressure. Honestly, even after bouncing the Masquerade, I would still have activated Maxx C on the Tengu to draw 1 card, normal Scepter, add, attack the second Tengu, draw again. I don't understand why Cimo simply passed after the Masquerade was bounced, that was terribly passive in my opinion, but then again I'm not very good at the game, but I would for sure play more aggressively there.

Man 101 has to be my favorite number out of all the number cards. Sure he might not be the best now with power creep. But he shaped the way you put your special summoned monsters. And his chaos version is really cool too!

Okay, so I just need to mention that Reborn Tengu could never trigger off of being shuffled from Field to deck. Even mandatory effects like Eternal Soul can not activate when shuffled into the main deck. The only change that happened was in regards to the Extra deck (ie AbZero used to be able to activate when returned to the ED)

I know it didn't matter in the end, but in the third game, the C-Star Seraph was a better target than Masquerade, protecting itself from destruction with a burn effect to boot. It might even been better in the other games as well since it has SOME form of protection, which made it funny to see it dismissed since Cimo probably only looked at the attack changing effect lol

it's crazy that even star seraphs were ran with tellars and some people ran DNA surgery for rhongo bongo plays to change the seraphs to warriors KEK. It was pretty damn meme-y but it worked when it stuck. Though the more optimal plays were using tellars with the chair and stick for Delteros for the extra pops and draws. It was pretty awesome seeing the kind of deck building back in those days.

So I've actually run RUM the 7th. Cyberdark is my pet deck, and its ability to mill combined with being weak enough to need some floodgates meant it was a good home for Plaguespreader and/or Edge Imp Sabres to stack a Seventh One, then go into a Galaxy-Eyes suite. And Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon had some synergy with Cyberdark with all the dragon mills. Unfortunately, I wasn't a good enough pilot to grasp how to leverage Dark Matter before it got banned.....

The c monsters don't have protection because in the show, only a number monsters. So they don't need it as Joseph said. The game had to make cards that protect them to reflect that. Number wall and stuff like that. Kinda like the egyptian god cards.

Mecha phantom beasts are a very funny deck on MD. Olion plus token makes baronne, tempest and lightning are legal, machina fortress is a 7 and citadel can target dracossac with token on field. Not great, but very funny.

I'm sorry, I loved watching Cimo and Joseph play every week, but then History became the combo fest we see modern day that alot of people don't like, and Jank went from "Curveball win conditions from under the kitchen sink and creativity" to "these are jank... you know... decks that don't win count as jank, right?" No more Exodia, no more DES Croaking, heck, Dustons were fun to watch even! Sealed Saturdays were fun, shame it died, Auction Series was fine... but now, with no Sealed Showdown, the fun of Yugioh is reserved to just Prog, and that can be slow since they're doing the classic "who goes first does their turn, second play may win if he has the right cards, winner determined turn three."

so many misplays in this episode but I just want to point out that Joseph never used the 2nd effect of O-lion, which is like the only reason to play pure MPBs, and then complained about the archetype not having a free special yet when he literally could've banished O-lion. Not like it was supposed to be in the gy anyway but I promised myself I would only point out 1 mistake
