So glad Jim (the driver) manages to keep it together in this scene. You don't want to go to pieces in a tense situation. Doing so only leads to trauma that tears you apart in the end.

Sean Bean, who's as brilliant as ever, as a deranged psychopath.#TheHitcher The Hitcher: John Ryder (Sean Bean) threatens Grace (Sophia Bush) and Jim (Zachary Knighton)

Wait... So the whole time, all the hitch hiker ever wanted was for someone to kill him. He actually made it very obvious to everyone that he wanted to die. He just kept killing and killing waiting for someone to actually kill him and they never did.🤦🏼♀️

Grace killed him at the end of the movie because he killed her boyfriend she wanted revenge so she killed him. That was my favorite part he deserved it definitely

Both this and the Rutger Hauer original are a grim reminder to me of my mother's warning never to pick these creeps up. To this day, I have never picked up a "hitchhiker" unless I knew him/her. Like so many things in life, the sketchy few spoil it for the honest many.

Nowhere near as good as Rutger Hauer in the original film.

This movie started out good but went way too ridiculous over the top. They should have made the movie to where Jim is actually crazy and he is the hitcher (split personality) or they should have made it to where the hitcher wins and frames them for the murders

As much as i love Sean Bean his performance here was weak..Got nothing on Rutger Hauer's performance.
@steveouk901267 жыл бұрын
Bean's performance here is quite good. The biggest disadvantage of this version is that you know what's coming. With RH, the psychotic behavior was completely out of nowhere and delivered with such casual style. With this film they're creating the ambience with character reaction shots and dramatic music--and it just loses the tension because they're telecasting the threat instead of allowing Bean to sell it himself. Plus they've added the girl to the scene because audiences react more to women in peril, and pandering ruins the setup.
