Sandra Nelson sharpe is a household word in the UK. Sean has graced our TV since the early 90s with this series. I introduced some american colleagues to the series on video tape during the bosnian war and they were hooked...in fact I never got my tapes back lol. He is in a new Brit show called the frankenstien chronicles and his character is not unlike sharpe, well recommended.

Stephen pronounces a lot of the LOTR names strangely. I think he trying to emulate what he think Tolkien would've pronounced them like. He also pronounced "Gollum" as "Golem" instead of "Gah-lum".

Sorry to burst your bubble old thing, but I am the consumate Tolkein nerd, and Mr Colbert wouldn't know Tolkeinian phonetics if he sat on them. I'm afraid he's just being your typical colonial butcher-of-the-tongues... FYI, the first R should have a single rhotic roll, never a simple flat rhotic note. The final syllable should sound like "mere" (the English non-rhotic pronunciation).

Mr. Bean was talking about the poor people in Puerto Rico and how the guys from the studio / production were trying to help by going back there and spending money by finishing shooting of the scenes. And what does Mr. Colbert do? He's going back / switching topics to 50 Cent? Really? People died there, Mr. Bean was about to make a point, a statement and Mr. Colbert just goes back to 50 Cent like _this_ ? That's what i call tactful... Edit: spelling Edit 2: yeah i know - Mr. Bean as in Rowan Atkinon's "Mr. Bean". See guys, where i live we usually adress people we don't know or we are not good friends / close to by their last name. So it was just natural for me to use this kind of salutatory address.
@themasstermwahahahah5 жыл бұрын
He probably was trying to stop the comedy show from getting too dark, and wasn’t expecting him to get so specific about the Puerto Rico question
@Pendragon6675 жыл бұрын
@@themasstermwahahahah Maybe. And while i do understand that each guest does have only a limited window in that they can talk / a time-slot, it wouldn't have been a problem to let Mr. Bean finish his topic, say some uplifting words and then carefully shift the topic / come back to 50 Cent. On the other hand: interviews can at times be a very dynamic situation, granted.

jockejocke1 he was actually doing Sean Bean a favor by promoting and accentuating the highlight of the show in which Sean starred in. Wasn’t that the Main Goal Sean Bean came to the talkshow?
@royceabshire24535 жыл бұрын
@@edwardmp87 While promotion of the show was the main reason for the interview it did seem like Colbert and Bean didn't mesh well. In one of the other comments some compared Colbert ' s energy as the personification of Red Bull vs Bean's as Red wine.
