The m-lok slots are thicker than spec. So you can’t use things like the Kinetic Development Group quick attach pic rails, but the standard threaded m-lok stuff works just fine. I think he did it so it would be strong enough with the 3d printed material. He did use glass fiber reinforced nylon so it should be pretty strong. I can tell you does feel well made for what it is. It doesn’t feel cheap like so many 3d printed products. Holding zero shouldn’t be a problem either. The whole top part of the chassis fits tight and screws into the threaded holes for the original front and rear sights. I bought 2 and am really happy with them. One rides on the seat of my jeep everyday, and I use it to shoot various varmints and pests around the farm. It replaced the other CP 33 that has been there for years with the first brace adapter he made for them. Works great and is definitely the best brace or stock chassis on the market for the CP 33. He also makes a +17 mag extension for it that brings the capacity up to 50. It comes with a different spring and everything. I only load mine to 40 ~ 45 because the springs are new and that seems to work well. Any more and loading gets pretty tough. Great fun, highly recommended.

An upside of .22's penchant for duds, misfeeds, rimlocks, etc, is that it gives you a chance to practice real remedial actions. Not just taps and racks, but how to deal with a firearm that may even have a live round in the chamber when something weird happens. Of course any malfunction can be dangerous if not handled correctly, but I'd rather learn some lessons on a .22lr over a rimmed Desert Eagle or a Coonan or something. Or any other caliber I suppose. The worst malfunction I've had personally is when I was about 13 I think, I was shooting my Dad's duty gun, which at the time was a Glock 23. I guess a case got stuck in the chamber, but the entire rear got torn off and ejected, and then a live round got fed partially into the now open cylinder of the stuck case. Thankfully I had a cleaning rod for a .30 caliber, and I was able to kind of hammer it out, but it took quite a bit of effort. I've heard of people getting a similar malfunction, also with .40 cal oddly enough, but I've never personally seen anything that bad before or since. I might've been shooting a bag of reloads that the range guy at the police academy made, but I don't remember, it was a long time ago.

I seem to remember HK putting out advertisements in the late 80s and early 90s telling people to fight for the fact that their HK firearms were sporting rifles, and to contact thier local and federal politicians to fight the impeneding "AWB". People give them alot of guff for not putting out certain products here now, but how many people will really pay HK prices other than legitimate collectors with disposable income for a semi-auto MP7 that you can't even get AP ammo for? Hk doesn't want the expense of tooling up for production for a firearm that may not sell well. Everyone will say "oh I'll buy one, but in reality not many people will actually buy a semi-auto MP7, especially if it's a pistol that requires NFA paperwork to convert or has a 16 inch barrel.
