Rose Daofah he don't need the money Tolkien spent his life working on the Silmarillion his son Christopher spent his life compiling his fathers notes that became the Silmarillion and the Histories of Middle-Earth he has no plans on selling them as his hair is being groomed to think the same way. I mean, she was the reason Lorien was able to hold against a massive army of easterlings and orcs in the War of the Ring. Her magic is on another scale, possibly even greater than gandalf. the PJ movies really downplayed some of the magic, but it was really important in lore.

Tolkien himself sold the rights to The Hobbit and LOTR when he was alive. As a result, his estate had no say in the creation of Jackson's movies. They've made their opinion known, though, and they hate them.

I loved the warm up introduction to this panel… there speaks a true J.R.R. Tolkien fan 💕 As soon as I realised that Lord of the Rings was being made into a movie. I immediately and avidly watched and read every skerrick of information. I knew that Peter Jackson was the right man to bring this about…. when I was seated in the cinema as the opening scenes of the first movie “The Fellowship of the Ring” unfolded…. sigh! It’s like the books had come to life… with one very small criticism - where’s Tom Bombadil? I have to say I enjoyed reading about the hobbits’ interaction with Tom 😊
