whats the one thing you dont love about the next movie? Ik these movies arent really held in high regard but watching them as a child, i loved them and still do. Although the physics are all over the place, I still love seeing legolas jump around and be the orc killer he is.
@arklytte3 ай бұрын
@@danielgarcia151 The biggest issue IMO is the MASSIVE overuse of CGI. One of the reasons LotR is so awesome is because so much of it was PRACTICAL. Sure, there was some CGI, but other than a couple of truly egregious shots (Legolas parkouring onto Gimli's horse in Two Towers comes screaming to mind), most of the movie was practical *enhanced* with CGI. When they made this trilogy, it's like they took all that knowledge and skill that they learned and earned on LotR and just threw it out the window and said 'Fuck It! CGI box monsters it is!'. It makes the whole thing feel like a cheesy cash grab, rather than the awesome trilogy it should be. Dont get me wrong, I still love them, warts and all. But if LotR is an 11 on a scale of 10, The Hobbit is, at best, a 7.

@@danielgarcia151 Trust me, Legolas' agility is not what I hate in this trilogy. If anything, it's amazing to see him 60 years younger and doing what he did. No, the one thing I irrevocably hate about the entire Middle Earth saga is that. FUCKING. Love triangle between Legolas, Tauriel and Kili.

A lot of the little pop in complaints are ridiculous. As if fate and destiny arent part of these stories. The dwarves showing up on the righr day for the map to be read isnt dumb. Neither is the rabbits. Nor the side story of Sauron that WAS ACTIVELY happening in the timeline of the books 😒 The thing that irritates me is its comparison. If they had done the hobbit first people would have loved them. Then if LOTR came out they would have said wow these are even better. Since its swapped people absolutely shit on these movies or nitpick shit they dont in other stories. Thanks for the compilation but seriously
@MixMatch533 ай бұрын
I don't care if the sauron thing happened in the book. I'm going off the movies and how it was executed since the books and movies are different continuities and the movies are the most relevant in this context,and must be judged within said context. And in the hobbit movies it makes Sauron and idiot at best so it's not like this was a good thing in the first place. Also saying fate and destiny are part of stories isn't an arguement. It's basically admitting you gave up and didn't even try to even quantify what works and what doesn't. And also it's not that simple to say because both trilogies were swapped it gets crapped on for no reason. No its because this trilogy as a whole isn't very well written and it's been pointed out the past decade. and I love this trilogy mind you contrary to whatever you thought walking away from this, and its not all nitpicks like you try to paint it to be if you have any sense of being open minded . There were corners that were cut with these movies. And what makes you think people wouldn't point out problems in other stories like they do here? That sounds like a healthy practice to me. And you haven't even pointed out and individuals who is doing this. Just a blanket statement of "people". Thanks for the comment, but seriously.

D4mn the hate for Rings of Power, you guys are all like "This is the real Galadriel." You guys realize she's like almost 4 thousand years younger in that show than she is in the trilogy right? She hasn't achieved the level of calm and power we know her to have. She's also coming off the end of the first age, the death of her brother, and the destruction of Beleriand. Maybe try watching it with an open mind rather than dismissing it out of hand cause its not what you think it should be?

"You guys?" There's only one person editing these mashups. Me😆. All the jabs at rings of power are because of ME. And FYI I did have an open mind when I watched rings of power to the point of waiting a few months later after it aired and i watched it with a friend, and I still walked away sour from it. So your appeal isn't gonna work my friend. Also saying "she is younger" isn't an argument. And you are gonna have to adjust a bit since rings of power isn't canon to the films.

I think everyone went in with an open mind. And then after seeing how they destroy Galadriel and spit on Tolkien's grave, it left most people appalled. Stop trying to defend a show that is demonstrably awful and show a bit more respect to Tolkien.

@@MixMatch53 the only thing that the Rings of Power has done is give me more appreciation of the 3 Hobbit films, even if they are vastly inferior to the LITR trilogy

Did you know the reason why it’s called an unexpected journey is because the journey is unexpected🥸
